class="wp-caption-text">Laserlyte

COTTONWOOD, AZ --(Ammoland.com)- LaserLyte, the industry leader with the smallest lasers for gun sights, laser bore sights and laser training is celebrating 25 years of laser innovation.

Larry Moore started in the firearms/hunting industry over thirty years ago in Arizona. With a passion for the shooting sports and hunting, he started a book publishing business that specialized in survival skills and weapons. Moore also started publishing magazines; several o f which are still selling well on the newsstands and by subscription, such as S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons and Tactics), Turbo and Arizona Hunter and Angler.

Moore, always the intrepid entrepreneur, founded a gun accessory company in 1987 that later became Tac Star Industries, Inc. Under the Tac Star banner, Moore sold gun accessories and designed and produced new products, including the first “laser bore sighter” on the market. In less than ten years with Tac Star continuing to grow, Moore merged with Lyte Optronics and LaserLyte was born.Larry Moore, Founder of LaserLyte

Moore sold LaserLyte and bought it back just a few years later in 2001 for the sole purpose of developing state-of-the-art laser and shooting products. Just a year later, his son, Aaron Moore joined the business as Vice President and Director of Operations. With the junior Moore’s education and experience in business, engineering and international relations now used to drive the business, the senior Moore focused 100% of his attention on designing new cutting-edge laser products for the shooting industry.

From the initial product line-up of laser bore sights, LaserLyte then tackled designing, engineering and producing some of the industry’s first solid-state lasers for firearms and continued to revolutionize the market with the smallest, high performance lasers for rear sights, rail mounts and side mounts for revolvers, semi-auto pistols and rifles. Besides lasers for firearms and laser bore sight s, LaserLyte entered the training realm with the personal Laser Trainer Target system, a very affordable, portable, interactive laser training target. LaserLyte also produced caliber specific cartridge laser trainers that allow the student to use the firearm in realistic shooting drills with or without the LaserLyte Laser Trainer Target system.

In keeping with the forward thinking and visionary marketing of Aaron Moore, LaserLyte developed, with Ka-Bar, a very unique pistol bayonet that attaches to any handgun rail. Whether used for personal defense or just for looks, the popularity of the LaserLyte pistol bayonets continues to grow, as does the line-up, which now includes a variety of pistol bayonets.

LaserLyte has started off their 25th year with a new, larger facility to compensate for their tremendous growth, now and for the future. Both Larry Moore and Aaron Moore already have many new laser concepts on the drawing board and in prototype for release in the next few years. What started out 25 years ago as an entrepreneur’s dream is now a successful shooting industry family business.

For more information, visit www.laserlyte.com and check us out on Facebook.

About LaserLyte
Ammoland.com)- LaserLyte builds on the success of the LaserLyte Ruger LCP Side Mount Laser (CK-AMF), made available earlier this year, by introducing the CK-AMF9 for the Ruger LC9.

Made just as streamlined and programmable as the CK-AMF version, yet slightly larger, the CK-AMF9 design fits not only the Ruger LC9 but the Kel-Tec PF9 pistol, as well.

It is easy to mount on the gun by simply pushing out and replacing the stock frame pins with the new threaded pins (included). Mount the CK-AMF9 to these pins with the included screw. Then push the er gonomic activation button with the index finger and the laser is on target. The programmable laser features a pulse or constant on mode and also has an auto-off function to prevent an unwanted battery drain. An added benefit to the CK-AMF9 is that the laser actually helps to provide safer trigger control by acting as a finger guide without blocking the laser beam. The smooth, no-snag design of the laser allows the pistol to easily holster in any available nylon or leather pocket holster on the market.

Compact, lightweight and easy-to-use, the LaserLyte CK-AMF9 gives you the edge in close quarter situations for only $99.95, a price far lower than the competition, but far superior in quality. class="wp-caption-text">Cheaper Than Dirt

Fort Worth, TX --(Ammoland.com)- Every year, Cheaper Than Dirt! sends a team of buyers to the SHOT Show to scour the show floor and seek out the best and most innovative products so that they can bring them to their customers at prices that are, well, cheaper than dirt.

Among the thousands of vendors, distributors and manufacturers, Larry and Aaron Moore’s company LaserLyte always stands out with their innovative product lines.

LaserLyte was founded by Larry Moore and recently joined by his son Aaron Moore. Aaron’s background in engineering is a valuable asset to LaserLyte, but what struck us was his innovative designs. We asked Aaron if it was any coincidence that LaserLyte came out with their tongue-in-cheek pistol bayonet from KA-BAR not long after he joined his father’s company in 2002.

He chuckled and said, “Yes, That idea actually came up while having a few beers with someone from KA-BAR. We were initially joking about it at first, but the next day I kept thinking about it. I talked to my father about it, and he thought it was a crazy idea at first, but I kept developing it. I drew up a design and he still thought it was crazy, and when I went back to KA-BAR with it they thought I was crazy too. Eventually we got to the stage where we were tooling up for production, which is very expensive, and everyone still thought it was a crazy product. But, we stuck with it and people loved it.”

LaserLyte products aren’t just kooky, their line of laser aiming devices are revolutionary in their design and built to withstand the rigors of combat.

The newest of these devices is their Rear Sight Laser. Now available for more than a dozen firearm models, this new aiming system replaces the rear sight of a pistol or rifle and incorporates a tiny laser designator and power system into the sight. This allows for traditional sighting using the iron sights of the firearm, as well as the use of the laser aiming system with just the press of a button. Talking with Aaron, we discovered that this tiny device took years of design and a bit of luck as the technology became smaller and smaller.

“Our rear sight laser aiming system really came about as a happy accident. We’d been developing laser aiming systems for pistols that could be used with a normal holster for some time, but the technology really hadn’t gotten small enough yet.

One day we received a shipment from one of our suppliers that had been sent to us in error, and in the package were these tiny laser systems.

The supplier called us and said “Hey, we accidentally sent the wrong thing to you, and we need it back.” We replied “No way! We need about 10,000 of these lasers as soon as you can get them to us!” and that began the development of our rear sight laser. Within a few months we had designed and put into production rear sight lasers for more than half a dozen different pistol models.”

The Laserlyte TLB1 Laser Trainer lets shooters practice indoors, out of the elements, and without the need to burn through ammunition.

Along with their laser aiming systems, LaserLyte has recently made their LT-PRO laser training module even more useful for dry fire practice with a reactive target system. Ideal for competitive shooters, or anyone who wants to improve their skills without having to burn through ammunition at the range, the new TLB1 Laser Training Target gives you immediate feedback on your shots. We asked Aaron to describe how the system works:

“[The LT-PRO] is a laser module that fits flush in the barrel of just about any pistol or revolver .38 caliber on up to .45 caliber. With traditional dry fire practice, you don’t get any feedback. You don’t know where your point of impact would be. The LT-PRO is basically a sound activated device that flashes a laser beam for 100 milliseconds, indicating the point of impact when you pull the trigger. It also allows you to use your normal competition or concealed carry holster so that you can practice drawing and presenting that first shot.

The TLB1 Laser Training Target works with our LT-PRO. Basically you can dry fire a string of shots at the target, and then fire the laser at the red display circle on the left and the target will illuminate the point of impact for each shot. Fire another laser beam at the reset circle on the right, and the target clears your shots and resets for the next string.”

Customers can expect to see more products from LaserLyte that span the spectrum from enormously useful to a bit kooky or just “tacti-cool”, like the new double barrel shotgun quad rail adapter. Some may dismiss it as useless, but Aaron claims that while it may seem like a way to make a traditional long arm “tacti-cool”, it actually has a very useful purpose:

“The double barreled shotgun is a very popular home defense firearm, but the design doesn’t lends itself to adding on accessories like a light or laser aiming device. Stoeger has come out with a tactical double barrel shotgun with integral rail systems, but older models aren’t equipped as such. We saw the need for an add-on rail and developed the double barrel quad-rail. Some people may laugh at a product like that, but it turned out to be enormously useful, and popular as well.”

Unlike many of the vendors and manufacturers we saw at the 2011 SHOT Show, all of these products are available now. class="wp-caption-text">Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. –-(Ammoland.com)- LaserLyte is thrilled to announce the Side Mount Laser (SML) that fits nearly all Taurus revolvers including the Judge, CIA, Protector and Raging Bull series.

The new and inventive SML is easily mounted underneath the rubber grip of the revolver and is the only laser system available that allows the customer to use factory or custom grips and holster the firearm.

This is especially exciting for Judge owners because the SML allows the user to utilize a laser, retain the factory Ribber Grips® that reduce felt recoil and holster the firearm.

To install the SML simply choose one of two included base plates that fits the revolver, temporarily remove the grip and screw the unit into place. Sight in is simple with common X and Y adjustments. The SML’s activation switch is strategically placed at the back of the laser and is easily turned on by pressing the button on draw or when holstered. First press of the button produces constant on mode, second press produces pulse mode and third press deactivates the laser. The SML also has a customer-requested auto-off feature that displays a unique flash after five minutes of operation and automatically turns the unit off after six minutes. Press the button at any time to reset this feature that prevents accidental activation and battery depletion. The unit is also easily moved from one Taurus revolver to another.

The compact base unit contains all components necessary for operation – laser, switch, battery and circuitry. The unit body is constructed from 380A die cast aluminum and the plates are made of 4130 hardened chromoly steel. The SML is powered by four 377 batteries that provide five hours of normal usage in constant on mode and ten hours in pulse mode. Normal usage is defined as one minute on and one minute off. This test mimics actual usage where the unit is turned on and off and the battery is given time to automatically regenerate. LaserLyte offers discounted batteries on its website.

LaserLyte Side Mount Laser Specifications:

Product Number: CK-TA

Compatible Firearms: Fits most Taurus revolvers with rubber grips

Power Output: Class IIIA, 5mw

Laser module: 650nm

Batteries: four 377 batteries

Battery Life: 5 hrs. constant on, 10 hrs. pulse mode (normal usage)

Weight (with plate): .875 oz., 23 g

Length/Width/Height: .85 in./.42 in./1 in., 21.59 mm/ 10.67 mm/ 25.40 mm

Range at Night: 500 yd., 457.2 m

MSRP: $149.95

Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. –-(AmmoLand.com)- LaserLyte® is pleased to announce that the Laser Trainer Pro (LT-PRO) has been tested and recommended by the National Tactical Officer’s Association (NTOA) “Member Tested and Recommended Products Program”. This program is the most comprehensive law enforcement product review database. The program allows for manufacturers to have their products tested in the field by the law enforcement community.

LaserLyte’s LT-PRO offers simply the easiest way to pistol train without ammo. The LT-PRO fits most popular pistol calibers, mounts inside the barrel and features a sound-activated switch, indicating bullet impact with a laser dot. For the cost of one or two visits to a local range, shooting enthusiasts can enjoy a lifetime of free training with the LT-PRO at the location that works best for them.

One officer reviewer commented, “The laser was pretty much point-on right out of the box and the best part about it was that it was sound activated. No buttons to mash, no switches, it picked up the striker fire of the Glock and fired a beam each time, staying on long enough to easily tell where impact was.”

The next evolution in LaserLyte’s line of laser trainers, this model installs from the muzzle of the barrel and fits tight with LaserLyte’s patented arbor and taper system. This nearly flush-mounted laser trainer, extending no more than .25 inches from the muzzle, makes it easier to train from the holster, concealment or close quarters. The mounting system will retain the laser firmly in the barrel during reloading drills. Fits weapons chambered in most popular calibers, minimum 2-inch barrel required. LaserLyte strongly recommends the use of snap caps. MSRP $99.95.

LaserLyte LT-PRO Specifications:

Product Number: LT-PRO

Compatible Firearms: 9mm, 40 S&W, .45ACP, 38sp, .380 Auto, 357 Sig, 10mm and 45LC.

Power Output: Class IIIA, 5mw

Battery: 3-337

Battery Life: 3000 shots

Activation: Sound of striker or hammer

Weight: 1.3 oz., 36.85 g

Minimum Diameter: 0.1 in., 5.08 mm

Maximum Diameter: 0.5 in., 15.49 mm

Length: 2.1 in., 155.58 mm

MSRP: $99.95About the NTOA

About the NTOA
Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. --(AmmoLand.com)- LaserLyte® is proud to introduce the Laser Trainer Pro (LT-PRO), offering simply the easiest way to pistol train without ammo. The LT- PRO fits most popular pistol calibers, mounts inside the barrel and features a sound-activated switch, indicating bullet impact with a laser dot. For the cost of one or two visits to a local range, shooting enthusiasts can enjoy a lifetime of free training with the LT- PRO at the location that works best for them.

LaserLyte strongly recommends the use of snap caps. class="wp-caption-text">Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. - -(AmmoLand.com)- The LaserLyte Kryptonyte .50 BMG green laser cartridge bore tool (K-50) helps sight-in .50 caliber rifles quickly and economically. Getting the user on paper the first shot, (3-4 inches from center at 100 yards), the K-50 fits inside the chamber and when the bolt is closed the laser automatically activates. The daylight-visible 532-nanometer laser creates a dot that can be seen up to 100 yards with the naked eye.

Manufactured to the highest degree of .50 BMG match grade tolerances, each unit is checked with LaserLyte’s custom-made gauge. The K-50 is powered by one CR2 battery (commonly used in digital cameras) that provides 1.5 hours of continuous on.

The extreme accuracy of the K-50 coupled with the high visibility of a green laser make this the must-have bore tool for any serious .50 BMG shooter. Whether it is initial sight-in or checking to see if the rifle is still on target, both can be achieved with time and ammo savings. class="wp-caption-text">Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. - -(AmmoLand.com)- LaserLyte®, the leader in laser technology, introduces the Rear Sight Laser (RSL) – a ground-breaking new laser design incorporated into the rear sight. Compact size and revolutionary performance make the new RSL the most extraordinary system LaserLyte has ever produced. Easy-to-install and easy-to- operate, the new RSL offers a high-power laser with the benefit of not having to replace existing grips, internal stock parts or holsters.

The activation switch is a strategically placed button at the back of the slide that is easily activated by the thumb in a normal shooting position for left- or right-handed shooters. First press of the activation switch produces the constant on mode, second press produces pulse mode, and third press deactivates the laser. A small LED on the back of the laser indicates if the laser is on and what mode it is in.

The RSL fits all Glock® pistols and is constructed from MIM 4650, nickel enriched high carbon steel, the same material used for most heavy-duty gun parts such as iron sights, hammers and levers. It is also black oxide, bead blasted for a non-reflective finish. When mounted onto the pistol the RSL will fit all Level 1 and 2 holsters. Powered by four 4×377 batteries, commonly used in watches, that provide one hour of run time on constant on and two hours in pulse mode. LaserLyte offers discounted batteries at www.laserlyte.com. Models for additional pistols models will be introduced later this year.
