title="AmmoLand Reports" href="http://www.ammoland.com/" target="_self">Ammoland.com)- The highly anticipated UVGS7 has made its launch September 7th. UVGS7 is the first and only Black Tactical Light on the market.

Released earlier this month by Direct Components, the UVGS7 is the latest in a new concept of aiming light technology which provides maximum safety and flexibility in critical situations, rapid target acquisition and all the benefits of IR lasers without the use of optics.

“Based on our proprietary laser design technology, this new ultraviolet diode laser operates with low amplitude noise, higher target fluorescence, tight focal length, shorter Rayleigh length and extremely low power consumption in a compact laser housing” says Steve Mencanin Direct Components President and CEO.

The laser is nearly invisible to the naked eye until the beam hits the target; due to higher energetic frequency target materials fluoresce to user, and not the target. Designed to improve range and visibility in day and night conditions, UVGS7 offers faster target acquisition, zero beam track back, no effect on night vision and is fifty times more visible than any green laser aiming light on the market.

Direct Components UVGS7 Black Tactical Light

Due the unique properties of the UVGS7 UV spectrum laser, users will be able to recognize the beam faster, in day or night settings, than a red or green laser, never lose track of the beam in a heavy action situation and the target will not be able to track the beam back to the user.

Mencanin says” These unique UV properties make the UVGS7 the safest and most effective aiming light in the world.”

Mencanin also boasts, “That in conjunctions with all of the safety and accuracy features the rugged devices remains light-weight and meets the MIL-STD-810G requirements for reliability under harsh conditions.”

Available for handguns, M-4, M-16, AR-15 and other weapon confirming to the MIL- SPEC 1913 rail. UVGS7 comes in four versions the 5mW, 50mW, 100mW and 150mW.

Features include: rugged aerospace aluminum housing (MIL-SPEC Type III hard coat anodized), power warning indicator, multiple user modes, light weight, no rail equipped fore grip required, “Bread Crumb” capability, and ultralow parallax. Manufactured in the U.S.A. this patent pending device comes with mounting hardware, battery & 7 inches remote cable switch.

About Direct Components:
StreamLight

EAGLEVILLE, PA, --(AmmoLand.com)- Streamlight®, Inc., a leading flashlight manufacturer for sportsmen, hunters and other recreational users, announced it introduced a high performance version of its lightweight, compact tactical PolyTac® LED—the PolyTac® LED HP — on January 1. The new model offers nearly triple the peak beam intensity of its predecessor for even greater performance. The new light features C4® power LED technology.

The lithium-powered PolyTac LED HP delivers 150 lumens measured system output and 15,000 candela peak beam intensity, enough to provide critical lighting for a variety of outdoor and recreational uses. It features the same compact, lightweight polymer casing as previous PolyTac models.

“This high performance light, in addition to being high intensity, reaches long distances, making it especially useful for tracking game or other outdoor search activities under low light conditions,” said Streamlight President Ray Sharrah. “At the same time, it is extremely lightweight and tough, making it an excellent choice for hunters and other outdoor enthusiasts.”

The PolyTac LED HP uses a C4 LED bulb which is impervious to shock with a 50,000 hour lifetime to provide 3 hours of continuous runtime to the 10% output level. The light’s deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a long-range targeting beam over a distance of more than 800 feet, with optimum peripheral illumination to aid in navigation. It has an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating.

Weighing only 4.4 ounces and measuring 5.65 inches, the light features a casing made of high-impact, super tough nylon polymer for exceptional durability and a sure grip. It has a tailcap push-button switch for easy, one-handed operation in either momentary or constant on mode. It uses two 3-volt lithium batteries, which have a shelf life of 10 years.

Featuring an IPX7 rated design, the PolyTac LED HP is waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The light has been tested to the ANSI/NEMA F-1 Flashlight Standard. Available in black or yellow, the PolyTac LED HP retails for $75.00 and comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime warranty.

Based in Eagleville, PA, Streamlight, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-performance lighting equipment for professional fire fighting, law enforcement, military, industrial, automotive, and outdoor applications. Insight products will be incorporated into the match giving competitors the opportunity to test the equipment under the stressful conditions of real world scenarios.

“Our night match is one of the few true low light outdoor matches in the country making it a big draw for serious handgun competitors, bringing in shooters from the IDPA, USPSA and ICORE disciplines. The night match is approaching its 20th anniversary and we’re proud to have Insight Technology joining as our title sponsor. We expect this year’s match to be the best ever,” said Scott Ruby, sponsor coordinator for the Day-Night-Day match.

The Range is widely regarded in the competition community for the quality of its matches and challenging course designs. It is also home to the Carolina Cup, one of the three major matches on the IDPA circuit.

More than 18,000 rounds will be put downrange across all three matches as competitors compete for titles in two divisions – Weapon Mounted Lights or Handheld Lights.

For more information on the Insight Technology Night Championship and the Day-Night-Day matches please visit www.the-range.com.
