Ohio --(Ammoland.com)- Hunting season purchases of Miller High Life and Miller High Life Light throughout Wisconsin benefited Whitetails Unlimited with a $50,000 donation, which will advance programs such as WTU’s Project POLITE, Whitetail Watch, and Comprehensive Deer Management, along with WTU’s mission of education, conservation, and the preservation of an American tradition.

MillerCoors and their Wisconsin distributors donated 50 cents for every 30-pack of the two Miller High Life brands sold at retail outlets, and a nickel for every bottle, can or glass sold in restaurants, bars and taverns during October and November.

That resulted in a $50,000 check being presented to Whitetails Unlimited by Dan Genatempo, MillerCoors commercial development manager, Great Lakes region.

The WTU program is part of a larger initiative dubbed “Every Beer Pours Back,” focusing on improving the quality of life in a state where MillerCoors makes a significant economic impact. In Wisconsin, MillerCoors and their distributors employ more than 3,000 people, with a payroll of more than $175 million. These distributors and employees support numerous charitable organizations throughout Wisconsin.

“Our partnership with Whitetails Unlimited allows us to support an important organization,” said Jim Wright, general manager of MillerCoors Wisconsin.

“We want to thank MillerCoors and their network of distributors in Wisconsin,” said Pete Gerl, WTU executive director.

“We can’t say enough about how excited we are with this partnership, and we understand the impact the MillerCoors distributors have in Wisconsin. We’ve had great positive feedback from our Wisconsin field directors, and also from our members in the state. This kind of support goes a long way in advancing our important programs that support conservation.”

Both Whitetails Unlimited and MillerCoors were gratified by the consumer support for the program, and discussions are underway as to the status of the program for the 2011 season.

Saint Paul, Minn. –-(AmmoLand.com)- An unusually wet autumn to date across the core of the pheasant range means that late-season pheasant hunting in November and December will be “Prime Time” for hunters.

And after a day afield, hunters that make it “Miller Time” with Miller High Life will help Pheasants Forever raise funds for local wildlife habitat projects.

Miller High Life, the Official Beer of Pheasants Forever, is being sold in special camouflage cans for the hunting season, available through December 31st. Participating establishments that are purveyors of Miller High Life will be helping Pheasants Forever chapters raise funds through the Miller High Life Rooster Promotion.

Hunters, conservationists and patrons will be able to purchase “roosters” at participating establishments for $1 and $5. Then, sign your name on the paper rooster, and it will be displayed at the business. A large covey of roosters will not only demonstrate patrons’ support of Pheasants Forever, the net funds raised through this promotion will be used by local Pheasants Forever chapters to fund their wildlife habitat projects!

“A great day pheasant hunting followed up by a Miller High Life just goes together,” said Chris Gotziaman, Field Marketing Manager with MillerCoors, “That perfect combination, however, is dependent on having wild places and spaces to enjoy the great outdoors. Nobody understands that better than ‘The Habitat Organization,’ and we’re proud to call Pheasants Forever a partner in conservation.”

“Miller High Life has always recognized the effectiveness of Pheasants Forever’s unique fundraising model, and this fall’s Rooster Promotion is yet another example of their commitment to conservation,” said Joe Duggan, Vice President of Corporate Relations & Marketing with Pheasants Forever.

Miller High Life, the Official Beer of Pheasants Forever, has been the long-time sponsor of Pheasants Forever’s annual wildlife Print-of-the-Year, which has resulted in well over $1 million in revenue for Pheasants Forever’s conservation efforts. Pheasants Forever was also the first conservation partner in Miller’s “Friends of the Field” program, which was established to support wildlife habitat conservation and promote responsible outdoor recreation.

About:
Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are non-profit conservation organizations dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant, quail, and other wildlife populations in North America through habitat improvement, land management, public awareness, and education.
