Madison, NC --(Ammoland.com)- Freedom Group, Inc., (“Freedom Group”) is pleased to announce that Team Remington/Bushmaster shooters were awarded 12 major titles at the 2011 CMP Western Games & Creedmoor Cup Match held in Phoenix, Arizona.

“I am proud of our team’s accomplishments at the matches,” said Ken Roxburgh – Team Coach. “Each team member performs very specific and sometimes multiple functions on the team. They are truly ambassadors for the sport of competitive shooting as well as for the Freedom Group family of companies.”

The NRA high power phase of the individual matches started with Team Remington/Bushmaster making outstanding showings as well as winning four individual titles.

Individual Match Highlights:

  • Tyler Rico (17 years old) winning high service rifle in match number (2), 200 yard sitting rapid fire score: 200-11x
  • Joe Hendricks winning high match rifle in match number (6), 200 yard, standing slow fire, score: 196-7x
  • Joe Hendricks winning high match rifle in match number (7), 200 yard, sitting, rapid fire, score: 200-15x
  • Sara Rozanski winning high service rifle in match number (7), 200 yard rapid fire, sitting, score: 200-10x
  • Tyler Rico winning high service rifle in match number (8), 300 yard rapid fire, prone, score: 199-12x
  • Tyler Rico winning high service rifle in match number (9), 600 yard slow fire, prone, score: 199-7x
  • Tyler Rico winning high service rifle in match number (15), 800 aggregate score: 776-29x
  • Joe Hendricks winning high match rifle in match number (14), 600 yard, prone, slow fire, score: 198-11x

Team Remington/Bushmaster Individual Titles:

  • Tyler Rico – High Service Rifle Champion, score: 2344-83x
  • Sara Rozanski – High Woman, Overall Service Rifle Champion, score: 2325-56x
  • Joseph Hendricks – 2nd Place Overall Match Rifle, score: 2359-103x
  • Tyler Rico – High Junior Overall Service Rifle Champion, score: 2344-83x
  • Team Remington/Bushmaster Individual Rankings:

During the CMP Western Games Creedmoor Cup (4) Person Team Championship, Team Remington/Bushmaster Roxburgh was awarded Winner and High Match Rifle Team with a winning score of 1948-55x.

In addition to competing, Team Remington/Bushmaster shooters provided a free clinic consisting of formal rifle marksmanship instruction on safety and proper weapons handing. Topics covered also included aiming and trigger control, techniques of slow and rapid firing, zeroing, competitive data book, effects of weather, wind reading followed by live fire zeroing exercises.
