Jackson, WI --(AmmoLand.com)- Folks it was a very unique week for me here at Armed American Radio. ON Monday I had the distinct opportunity to be a guest/co-host for a full hour on the G. Gordon Liddy show, heard on over 200 markets.

It was a great opportunity to take our case to an even bigger listening audience.

That was Monday…we all know what happened on Tuesday, right? The US Supreme Court heard the McDonald vs Chicago “gun ban case”. All indications from the courtroom are strong and seem to support the Court “incorporating” the 2nd amendment to the states.

Joining me this week on Armed American Radio to discuss this case and the hearing in DETAIL will be Mr. Dane Von breichenhardt, the President of the US Bill of Rights Foundation and original architect of the Heller case. Dane will offer his insight as to what we can expect when the court renders its decision, expected in June of this year.

Additionally, you may be aware that CSU Board of Governors has voted unanimously to ban lawful carry of guns on its two campuses at Ft. Collins and Pueblo. Well a certain Sheriff has decided that it is not in the best interest of the board to do so and has made it very clear that he will not enforce the boards unconstitutional act. Laramie County Sheriff Alderden will be here to talk about it on AAR.

New Berlin, Wis. --(AmmoLand.com)- This brand new show is hosted by predator experts Jeff Thomason, Todd Woodall and Cal Ferguson.

They will push the envelope of predator hunting as we know it and show viewers some unorthodox hunting situations. Footage includes night hunting with compound bows and crossbows along with hunts from Africa to Canada and all the way back to Texas. Beginning December 28, Predator Pursuit will air Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m, Saturdays at 8 a.m., and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Q: Who was your hunting/fishing mentor?
A: Hands down, my Dad has been my biggest influence. I think he could tell from the first time he took me out calling coyotes that it sparked something in me that would always be there. He taught me how to hunt ethically, efficiently, and always make it fun. I’m using his same formula to teach my boys.

Q: How did you get started in the hunting /fishing industry?
A: I started 4F Outfitters at 17 and have made my living as an outfitter for the last 12 years. I’ve had many shows hunt with me, which gave me the opportunity to learn first-hand how things work. Several years ago I met Jeff Thomason and Todd Woodall of the Predator Pursuit DVD series and started filming with them on a regular basis. From there we decided to start Predator Pursuit TV.

Q: What’s the biggest mishap that has happened while filming an episode?
A: We were filming a night hunting episode out in West Texas and it was about three o’clock in the morning. In the process of loading up to head to the next stand, Todd left the camera next to the truck. As we drove off, the truck knocked it down and the back tire ran it over. We had no idea until we got to the next stand. Luckily only the tripod and shotgun mic were damaged. It was day one of a five day trip and our back up camera was already in the shop.

Q: What was your most memorable catch/hunt?
A: I hunt with my wife, Becca, and two boys Cade and Brock probably 50+ days a year. We’ve had some pretty awesome days calling coyotes together as a family. We also take an annual family trip hog hunting that is probably my favorite trip of the year. It would be impossible for me to pick one hunt that I would call my favorite but it would definitely be one with my family.

Q: Tell us your favorite hunting/fish joke.
A: Two guys stop at a farmer’s house to ask permission to hunt his property. The farmer agrees to let them hunt and offers to show them around the place so they will know what land is his. The farmer had an old mule that was on death’s doorstep. As a joke, he asked to borrow one of the men’s rifles and tells them that his sorry, no-good neighbor keeps letting his horses and mule in his hay meadow to graze and he’s had enough. The farmer jumps out of the truck and shoots the mule, all the while cussing his neighbor. As soon as the farmer shoots he hears two more shots from the other side of the truck. When he looks to see what is going on the other hunter jumps back in the truck and says I got two of his horses let’s get the heck out of here!

Q: What were the worst conditions you ever fished/ hunted under? How did it effect the outcome of the trip?
A: As an outfitter I’ve had to hunt in some pretty sorry conditions. As far as filming for Predator Pursuit, we had a hunt scheduled in the Texas Panhandle to film for four days with Mike Dillon of Fox Pro. The first day was decent, the next two days it snowed so hard you couldn’t see fifty yards and the wind blew 40-50 mph. We hunted as much as we could when the snow would let up enough. Finally on the last day the snow let up and even though the wind was still howling we got some of the best predator footage in the snow I’ve ever seen.

Q: What are people always surprised to find out about you?
A: My age, I’m only 29 years old, yet I’ve been outfitting for 12 years. When I have new hunters show up in camp they always seemed surprised when we first meet face-to-face. Of course, I’m barely tall enough to ride most roller coasters and hardly look old enough to vote, that could have something to do with it.

Last weeks show was outstanding as I was joined in studio by 3 of the most down to earth folks you could imagine. Their story is all over the internet and hitting some major news outlets.

Seems JP Mitchell and Matt Brannan were dining at the Waffle House in Kennesaw, GA a couple of months back when a scout for a heavily armed robbery crew came wandering in. Unbeknownst to JP and Matt, who were alert and paying attention to the “out of place” young man, their OPENLY CARRIED handguns sent the scout outside to inform the crew there were guns in the store. An alert waitress, Lynn noticed the suspicious car and its occupants and called police.

The crew was arrested in the parking lot with rifles, handguns, masks and other “tools of the trade”! Seems during the interrogation, they admitted the openly carried weapons had kept them from going in to rob the place until the “guns” left! Imagine that! Before we get started with this week’s AAR adventure, I would be remiss if I didn’t talk a bit about last weekends show.  My in -studio guest “David” was a victim of an attempted armed robbery and because he himself was armed, the robber didn’t get very far.  His story was followed up with analysis by Massad Ayoob and attorney John Monroe.  The show was incredibly compelling and if you have already made the decision to carry a gun or are even thinking about it, please visit last weeks program at www.armedamericanradio.org, it truly is “must listen” to radio.

California is heating up and I mean like a wildfire.  Seems a detective in East Palo Alto made some pretty incendiary comments on a Facebook page about law-abding residents who choose to lawfully open carry and his descriptive’s of what would happen to them by police was nothing short of….well, YOU decide.

I’ll be talking to Mr. John Taylor, who immediately started his own Facebook page calling for the detective to be fired.  Also, joining me will be representatives of OpenCarry.org.  These guys make no bones about where they fall in the open carry debate and they’ll weigh in on the E. Palo Alto situation.

Also, I’ll be continuing the Grassroots discussions with guests from Nevada Gun Owners and Ohioans for Concealed Carry.  Folks, it’s the local grassroots groups in your neck of the woods that are responsible for so many of the freedoms you have.  I’ve talked to groups from Iowa, Oregon, Ohio, Virginia, Georgia, and now Nevada and we’ll get to every state that airs AAR in the near future.! North American Safari has yet to take on a release sponsor with their slogan “quest for the best” of sponsors, they wanted to be sure they were using the best the market had to offer.

With the recent addition of broadheads, the switchblade, and most recently the T1, that made the job twice as hard for the staff at Nature Productions (North American Safari’s production company) to confirm they would be shooting the best.

The new T1 with its aggressive tip has a two position blade locking system which keeps each blade from either moving up and out of the ferrule or to either side. The ferrule is a solid steel one piece precision machined work of art that will give you excellent arrow flight due to the extreme tolerances that are demanded. The ferrule is then heat treated and coated to handle anything that walks in front of it.

Knife Rights was formed to prevent in the U.S. the restrictions on knife ownership and use such as those in England, where even pocket knives are outlawed.

Tom also will interview Jim Shepherd, of the Outdoor Wire and Shooting Wire; Pete Brownell, President of Brownells and Sinclair International; and Ethan Becker, wilderness survival instructor, knife designer, and co-editor of The Joy of Cooking.

Tom Gresham Broadcasts From The Scottsdale Gun Club

NEWTOWN, Conn. --(AmmoLand.com)-Each week, listeners are invited to learn about the history, excitement and value of hunting and the shooting sports on a new radio show called “Insights,” sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and produced by the Walker Agency.

“We are excited about the possibilities this new radio program offers NSSF, our industry and our sports,” said Mark E. Thomas, NSSF managing director, marketing communications.

“‘Insights’ will help NSSF reach a new audience of hunters and shooters, and will inspire potential participants who are listening to try our sports.

KIUL AM is in Garden City, Kansas. KIUL (1240 AM), and will air Gun Talk live on Sundays from 1 until 4PM central.
