class="wp-caption-text">Kenn Blanchard

Upper Marlboro, MD --(Ammoland.com)- America is defined by its freedoms. Gun control uses fear to disarm free people.

Crime occurs when evil people attempt to control or take what is not theirs.

The America ideal is to have the freedom to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Americans that want to exercise those rights, have learned that freedom isn’t free.

The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. We are not guaranteed happiness. We have learned that our government has no real duty to protect us. We have learned that despite the US Constitution, the agreement with our government is constantly being re-interpreted as the seasons change. The government has learned that it is easier to control law abiding people than criminals. We have seen and heard the propaganda that perpetuates the fears of society to control its people.

Fear is false expectations appearing real. We set the inner city person against the rural person. In other words, we pit the black and the brown against the white. We misquote history or only tell half the story. We display the pain of mothers that have lost their sons to the criminal element of the streets and mix facts with fiction. We blame the mechanical devices that our ancestors had but we conveniently forgot about today. We pretend that humanity has not changed. The Mosaic Law that “Thou Shall Not Murder” has not been repealed yet none of the additional laws we have today have saved the life of one child. We ignore that poor people suffer from direct attacks daily, waiting for the thousands of laws we already have to make a difference. We accept crime and the criminal in certain neighborhoods and as long as it is not in yours then it’s ok.

Gun control is anti-American. It goes against the principles that make the United States unique in the world. It goes against the moral high ground that believed that the citizens are free enough that they can trust their government. It goes against the principle that the government is actually for the people, by the people and made up, of the people it represents. Gun control means that trust no longer exist. It means that there is some group that knows better. Gun control means that some people are more important than others. Gun control means that some people cannot be trusted to govern themselves.

Gun control is racist.

Gun control is a lie. Gun Control infers that the government will provide for your safety and security of your children. Gun control infers that with the power of the government there should be no crime. Gun control blames everything else but the criminal for the way things are. They blame guns. They blame gun owners. They blame the NRA. They blame your law abiding, PTA going, church going, and family members for what is wrong. Gun control takes the Black Codes and the Nazi Gun Control Act, changes the dates and then institutes them as reasonable measures. Then it tells us that –that is not true.

Gun control uses fear to control people that don’t have the time to learn. Gun control uses fear to control people that are trying to survive and want to believe in someone or something. Gun control is not new. It has been going on since the invention of gun powder.

It is and always has been about control. That is not American.

Rev. title="AmmoLand Reports" href="http://www.ammoland.com/" target="_self">Ammoland.com)- The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Northeast New Mexico Chapter is teaming up with the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, N.M., for a one-of-a-kind shooting sports event especially for hunters, August 26-28.

The “Big Bull Shootoff” simulates field situations and shot opportunities encountered during archery and firearms hunts for big game. The course is designed to challenge and hone shooting skills.

The event is open to anyone interested in hunting, shooting and conservation.

Competition is being divided into classes for men, women and youths–plus special divisions for RMEF chapters from around the country vying for organizational bragging rights and unique traveling trophies for the best rifle and archery teams.

“The event begins on a Friday with open shooting to allow registered shooters to warm up, followed by several fun-shoot events and a special RMEF reception. On Saturday, the shooting events begin in earnest. Saturday night features a big game banquet, auction, raffles and games. We’ll wrap up on Sunday with a breakfast awards ceremony to honor our shooting champions,” said Doug Doherty, RMEF regional director for New Mexico.

The main rifle competition offers 10 stations with 20 targets out to 400 yards, with scores based on shot placement and time. United Bowhunters of New Mexico is working with the RMEF chapter to set up a 3-D archery course using the same concept as the rifle competition. Both are limited to 150 competitors each.

In addition to these featured competitions, other attractions will include sporting clays, five-stand and other shotgun, pistol and rifle shooting, product vendors exhibiting their latest and greatest, and RMEF’s new Project SAFE program to help young and novice shooters discover America’s hunting heritage and conservation.

For event details, pricing and registration, contact RMEF volunteers Ira or Lynette Simpson at (575) 445-3988. Reservations are limited. Registration closes Aug. 12.

The entire event is a fundraiser to support RMEF’s mission to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat. Since 1985, RMEF and its partners have completed 256 different conservation and education projects in New Mexico with a combined value of more than $19.3 million.

The NRA Whittington Center is one of the nation’s premier shooting sports facilities. Founded in 1973, the center offers many competitive, educational and recreational activities in all shooting disciplines–and hosted more than 115,000 visitors in 2010. On site camping and lodging facilities are available (there also are many hotels in Raton). title="Ammoland.com" href="http://Ammoland.com" target="_blank">Ammoland.com)- You may register under the wire and get a place at the premiere rifle camp for women, offered by Babes with Bullets at Head Instructor Kay Miculek’s private range near Shreveport, La., from Wed., Nov. 3 through Sat., Nov. 6, 2010.

This three-day immersion camp concludes with a private match.

Many in the gun industry and the nation are aware of Babes with Bullet ladies action-shooting pistol camps, held since April 2004 under the supervision of Miculek – a 14-time national champion in rifle, pistol and shotgun – who recruited many of the top female shooters in the country, instructors that offer the unique ability to reach out to novice female shooters. This camp is the first in a series of rifle camps, added to the roster.

Camp Director Deb Ferns attended the first camp in 2004 as one of the novice shooters. Since 2004, Ferns and Miculek have worked as partners, along with senior instructor, Lisa Munson, to host dozens of camps across the US. To date more than 1,200 novice ladies have joined in the camps, which have been underwritten by Smith & Wesson since 2004. Along with financial support, Smith & Wesson also donates all the firearms – including their new M&P 15/AR-15 and M&P 22′s. This gives campers the opportunity to “try before they buy.” According to Ferns, an aggressive 3-gun competitor, “Of all the rifles I’ve used, the AR-15 is the most fun and easiest rifle to shoot. So many women are intimidated by the word ‘rifle’ and that’s due to the influence of mainstream media and has nothing to do with reality!”

HiViz Shooting Systems, along with Nikon and Insight Technology, help make the upcoming Babes with Bullets rifle camp available to more women through three-$200 scholarships. Please contact Deb Ferns, camp director, at Deb@BabeswithBullets.com to see if a scholarship is available. See the website at Ammoland.com)- Tom is announcing all the details of the much-anticipated Gun Talk 10mm 1911 with help from Dury’s Gun Shop and Double Tap Ammunition this Sunday on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk (R) Radio, the only nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.

Johnny Dury has been selling guns for decades – and Dury’s Gun Shop is the only place to purchase the new, limited-edition Gun Talk 10mm 1911. Listeners can visit Dury’s in San Antonio, TX in person, or view and purchase the GT10 online at www.durysguns.com. The GT10 will only be available thru the month of October.

Mike McNett of Double Tap Ammunition has become pretty well known for the punched-up ammo his company makes, and the 10mm is no exception. McNett will discuss what exactly the 10mm is, what it can do, and why you would want it.

Also on the show this Sunday is Benny Spies, host of the newest hunting show on VERSUS. Spies’ show, Gun it with Benny Spies, premieres this Friday, October 1st at 9pm ET, and takes viewers for a thrill-ride through the world of hunting, via his trusty ’73 Winnebago, nicknamed “The Toaster”. A native of South Dakota, Spies brings the series to his home state in search of ducks, whitetail, mule deer and more. Says Spies, in the Aberdeen News, “It is a totally different type of hunting show than what you are used to seeing. It is not a show where the first 22 minutes are used to set up the hunt and then they go in for the kill…Our show is fast paced and low maintenance, and hopefully fun and entertaining.”

In its 15th year of national syndication, Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk Radio airs live on Sundays from 2PM-5PM Eastern, and runs on over 100 stations, plus SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio. class="wp-caption-text">U.S. Practical Shooting Association

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. --(Ammoland.com)- Robert Vogel of Wapakoneta, Ohio, won his second U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) regional championship of the year this past weekend with a come-from-behind win in the Limited division at the USPSA Canyon Creek Area 5 Regional Handgun Championship.

This is the fourth year in a row that Vogel has won a title at the Area 5 Championship. He won back-to-back Limited-10 division titles in 2009 and 2008, as well as the Production division title in 2007.

Winning only two of the 12 stages, and competing with a Glock model 24 which gives up two rounds per magazine to his competitors, Vogel battled from behind to overtake the match leader, and 2009 winner, Blake Miguez of New Iberia, La., on the final stage of the match.

Miguez, who is one of the top Limited division shooters in the country and currently featured on the History Channel’s show Top Shot, won four stages early in the match and held the lead on 10 of 12 stages.

Going into the final stage of the match, Miguez held a 7.6605 point lead but fell to second place, giving back nearly 30 points to Vogel on the last stage. Vogel ended the match with a final score of 1427.7224 points, to Miguez’s 1411.3962.

“Bob is quickly proving to be one of the most versatile shooters in USPSA. Whether it’s in the Production division, Limited-10 or Limited, Bob continues to collect titles with a duty-style pistol typically used in law enforcement,” said Michael Voigt, president of USPSA.

Finishing over 65 points behind the leader in third with a score of 1362.2730 was Ted Puente of Milwaukee, Wis. Puente, who won two stages in the match, was trailing in fourth until winning the final stage in the match and moving himself into third.

Rounding out the top five were Team Sig member Matt Cheely of Plymouth, Mich., in fourth with two stage wins and a score of 1359.1312, and Emmanuel Bragg of Kirksville, Mo., in fifth with one stage win and a final score of 1354.9410.

Also taking home Limited division titles were John Smith of Marseilles, Ill., who won the Senior Limited contest, James Shema of Hebron, Ind., who took the Super Senior Limited division title, and Teepy Porter of St. Marys, Ga., who won the Junior Limited title.

Hosted by the Tri County Gun Club in Polo, Ill., and sponsored by Canyon Creek, the Area 5 match grew 22.5% over the previous year with a total of 337 top shooters from around the country, as well as Canada, competing for a title in one of six divisions.

Area 5 is one of the eight USPSA shooting regions in the country and is made up of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

The sport of Practical Shooting was formally established in 1976 but traces its roots back to the 1950’s and the quick draw “leather slap” competitions that grew out of America’s love affair with the TV westerns of that era. Today the sport represents the upper echelon of the shooting sports with many of its top shooters actively training law enforcement and military units on shooting techniques and equipment developed in competition.
Tags: <a

SMYRNA, Ga --(Ammoland.com)- Team GLOCK members Dave Sevigny and Randi Rogers both competed and won individual awards at the 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup Action Pistol Championship held May 26-29, in Hallsville, Mo.
Competitors from numerous countries, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates and the United States participated to claim the prestigious annual tournament championship, which featured four courses of fire and required 192 rounds.
Sevigny and Rogers both shot GLOCK 34 pistols in 9×19 in the Production division.
In front of a large crowd, Sevigny, the 2009 Bianchi Production Champion, again won the Production Speed Event and finished third overall in the Production division main match with a score of 1833-119x.
“Action Pistol is unique for us. Unlike the other shooting sports in which we compete, the generous time allowances for each string of fire create an equalizer – meaning there is an even greater focus on accuracy. While Randi and I made improvements from last season’s match, we still have more work to do. The competitors who regularly compete in Action Pistol, Bullseye and PPC events are a great challenge for me,” said Sevigny.
Team GLOCK Captain Dave Sevigny
Rogers finished in 1st place in the Sharpshooter class and in 8th place overall in the Production division with a score of 1790-99x. She shot an exceptional Plate stage by hitting 47 of 48 plates and placed second overall.
“The Bianchi Cup is the most difficult match I have ever shot. With very accuracy intensive stages, there is no room for error. I trained hard for the event knowing that I would be facing talented competitors, so I am very pleased to have placed in the top eight overall in Production,” said Rogers.
GLOCK Vice President Gary Fletcher added, “GLOCK, Inc. is proud to help sponsor both the NRA and its competitive shooting events. GLOCK pistols are made to be safe to use, simple to operate and fast to shoot. These qualities give both our team shooters and competitors all around the world the confidence to shoot GLOCKs in competition.”
The Production Division at the event was sponsored by GLOCK. Team GLOCK will next compete at the World Class Steel tournament on June 4-5 in Old Bridge, NJ.Tags: Bianchi Cup, Competitive Shooting News, Dave Sevigny, NRA, Randi Rogers, Shooting News, Shooting Teams, Team Glock, Winners

It still amazes me how Rob can continue to be on top of his game after all this time. He truly is TGO (The Great One),” stated Scott Carnahan, Team Safariland Manager and VP, Category Marketing, Safariland.

Along with his 1911, Leatham was using Safariland’s new Model 032 ELS Competition Belt System, with ELS (Equipment Locking System) Forks and Plates. Around the belt are pre-cut mounting holes for straight up or angled attachment of the ELS 35 Receiver Plate, providing a secure mounting platform for the mag pouch and holster equipped with the ELS 34 Fork. Now all I have to do is change out the pouches and holster body with the ELS system and it will become my product rig.”

Safariland is pleased to report that sponsored shooter Julie Goloski Golob took the top honors in the Ladies division, with her 10th National title, and fellow Team Safariland member Kippi Leatham finished 3rd in the Ladies division. class="wp-caption-text">U.S. Practical Shooting Association

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. —-(AmmoLand.com)- By just over half a point, Eva Micklethwaite managed to edge out Jenny Chu to pick up her first Area win and the coveted Women’s Open division title at the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s Area 2 Regional Handgun Championships.

Micklethwaite, who was a member of the Team USA and helped win the gold in 2008 at the International Practical Shooting Confederation’s (IPSC) World Shoot XV in Bali, Indonesia, was also crowned High Lady, a title that goes to the top overall female shooter in the match.

Through most of the match Chu held the lead with five key stage wins among the women shooters. Yet Micklethwaite stayed within striking distance giving Chu a 30 point led early but closing the gap to just under 10 points by the ninth stage.

With just two stages remaining Micklethwaite made her move.

On the tenth stage Mickelthwaite picked up 14 points on Chu by scoring 18 A zone hits and 6 C zone hits. Chu put 20 solid A zone hits down range but dropped points with a B, C and D hit as well as one Miss and one No-Shoot. This gave Micklethwaite a slim lead of just 4.5637 points going into the final stage.

With the match slipping away, Chu tried to recover putting eight of her ten shots in the A zone with the remaining two falling in the C zone. She picked up just over 42 points on the stage but it wasn’t enough as Micklethwaite scored six A zone hits and four C zone hits giving her slightly more than 37 points for the stage.

When all the scores were tallied, Micklethwaite’s late surge put her just 0.5715 points ahead of Chu with a final score of 1120.3398 to 1119.7683.

“This was one of the closest matches of the season and nothing short of nail biter. Both Eva and Jenny battled all the way, even through the very last shot of the match. It’s a big win for Eva and one that is well deserved,” said Dave Thomas, executive director of the U.S. Practical Shooting Association.

Rounding out the top five were Team Smith & Wesson’s Kay Miculek in third with 1098.2849, Valarie Levanza-Rosales in fourth with 1061.9108 and Lily Chung in fifth with 985.5508.

The match, which was held November 12-15 at the Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club in Mesa, Ariz., drew a total of 355 shooters who put a combined 100,000-plus rounds down range competing for regional championship titles in the Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions.

The USPSA Area 2 region includes Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii and New Mexico but shooters from around the country attended.

About USPSA:<br

Knowing I can count on the performance and consistency of Hornady 9mm 124 grain XTP projectiles gives me the level of confidence that I need.

There was a lot of effort put into designing these stages which required me to visualize a technical strategy in how I was going to run and attack each stage in a timely manner.”

Steve Johnson, Hornady Marketing Communications Manager commented, “Max’s winning performances this past year reinforce why having 100% reliable ammunition is essential to shooting a clean match.

We’re looking forward to the remainder of Max’s competitive schedule to bring home more wins for Team Hornady.”

About:
Civilian Marksmanship Program

CAMP PERRY, OHIO –-(AmmoLand.com)- More than 300 shooters and guests attended the second annual Camp Perry Marksmanship Center Open House on Saturday, 19 September, commemorating the center’s second year of operations and a new shooter’s mural.

Visitors were treated to several activities including the dedication of the unique Antolik Mural, all-day turkey shoots on the world-class airgun range and live participation on the Ohio Army National Guard’s Engagement Skills Trainer (EST).

The Antolik Mural, a 100-foot-long by 20-foot-high handcrafted wall painting, honors current and past Camp Perry competitors, but most importantly recognizes the development of the nation’s young shooters. The mural was painted by Jerry Antolik of Hudson, Wyoming and is perhaps the largest painting of its kind dedicated to shooting sports, according to Gary Anderson, Director of Civilian Marksmanship.

At the mid-day mural dedication ceremony, Anderson praised Antolik’s work and provided a brief history of shooting sports art around the world. In traveling the sports shooting world Anderson compared the new mural to ancient archery tomb paintings in Egypt, centuries-old German murals and art he saw in China during the 2008 Olympic Games.

“To my knowledge, there is no larger mural dedicated to shooting sports in the world than the Antolik Mural,” Anderson said. “It is truly one of a kind.”

The mural depicts indoor and outdoor shooting scenes from Camp Perry and features many familiar sights including the camp’s water tower, a tractor pulling a shooter shuttle, a bald eagle and the ever-present seagulls.

But the centerpiece of the mural is a display of shooters past and present, including a row of precision air rifle shooters which dominates the center of the 100-foot-long wall at the range’s entrance.

In his remarks Antolik told the audience that the three-month project was a labor of love and he thanked the CMP for its commitment to, and vision for the development of shooting sports in the U.S.

“I’ve been coming here a long time. It’s a great place that has a special quality unlike any other,” Antolik said. “It is an honor to display my artwork here.”

“I think the sweetest thing of all is that they dedicated my mural during a turkey shoot,” he said with tongue in cheek.

Visitors who fired on the airgun range were first given a safety briefing and sporter air rifle instruction and then an opportunity to win a turkey with the best center shot in groups of 10 shooters, firing 10 shots each with sporter air rifles. In all, 30 turkeys were awarded to participants. All equipment and pellets were provided by CMP.

Austin Jess, 15 and his grandfather Ron, 68 of Fremont, Ohio participated in the open house festivities for the second year. The St. Joseph Central Catholic High School student said he’s never shot competitively but enjoys coming to the marksmanship center.

“If I had more time I’d be interested in shooting competitively,” he said. Golf, basketball and his favorite sport of baseball keep him busy though.

“Actually, it’s really relaxing, but you need a lot of focus,” he said.

Bill Keaton, 53, of Grafton, Ohio visited the center for the first time and said he was surprised by the size of the facility. Keaton is a Cleveland Center air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration.

“I plan to shoot a whole lot more when I retire, but I’m not sure yet when that’s going to happen,” Keaton said. He is a 25-year veteran controller and helped work air traffic on September 11, 2001.

Keaton shoots regularly in a 12-week handgun league near home, but caught the air rifle bug at the open house. He later purchased a reconditioned Daisy sporter rifle at the CMP store and plans to practice at home.

Jake Gladwell, 12 and his father Tim, 45, of Sandusky, Ohio also visited Camp Perry for the first time. Jake said he heard about the open at school, researched it on the Internet and convinced his dad to participate.

“He told me about it last night,” Tim said, so the Gladwells took the opportunity to shoot the turkey match and visit the National Guard’s EST adjacent to the airgun range later.

The Gladwells shoot a number of rifles and shotguns at home and said they enjoyed shooting at the CMP’s new indoor range. They said they are likely to take advantage of the weekly public practice sessions on Tuesday evenings.

“We’ve always enjoyed target shooting and this was a lot of fun,” Tim said.

Several guests visited and “shot” on the National Guard’s EST simulator with converted A4 service rifles. Participants were given the opportunity to fire in an industrial scenario on a massive video screen. The objective was to shoot oncoming enemy soldiers who ran for cover between buildings, ore piles and other structures.

Each shooter was given 30-round magazines and could fire semi-auto or in three-shot bursts. Firing in unlimited mode, participants could change out empty magazines and continue firing until time elapsed. Other than firing lasers at interactive targets and air-driven bolt actuators, the rifles function exactly like combat weapons, which saves a significant amount of ammunition for training purposes.

If you missed the open house but are still interested in visiting the CMP Camp Perry Marksmanship Center or shooting on the Air Gun Range, the CMP offers open public shooting on Tuesday evenings, from 5:30PM to 8:00PM. class="wp-caption-text">National Rifle Association

COLUMBIA, MO --(AmmoLand.com)- First Fidelity Reserve (FFR) has announced they will expand their NRA sponsorship by becoming a major sponsor of the NRA National Action Pistol Championship, also known as the NRA Bianchi Cup, set to take place in Columbia, Missouri, from May 26-29, 2010. FFR was also the sponsor of the 2009 NRA National Pistol Championships at Camp Perry.

First Fidelity Reserve will sponsor the Practical Event of the NRA Bianchi Cup and plans to provide $15,000 in cash and prizes.

FFR’s CEO Jason Whitney, who will be attending the Championship, said, “Out of all the areas within the NRA (legislative, sporting, fundraising) that we support both locally and nationally, the shooting competitions are by far the most exciting and fun. And, as always, we’re proud that the NRA asked us to be a part of Bianchi Cup!”

Since its inception in 1979, the NRA Bianchi Cup has retained its original course of fire, consisting of four events: Practical, Barricade, Moving Target and Falling Plates. Speed and accuracy are the key to winning the Championship. Each event is timed and worth 480 points, equaling a total of 1920 possible points. Action pistol competitors are permitted to use a two-handed grip, and competitors must start with their guns holstered. This dynamic type of competition makes the match more appealing to spectators.

First Fidelity Reserve is a leading provider of Bullion and Rare Coins to tens of thousands of collectors and numismatic professionals. The Beaumont, Texas, based investment company is known internationally for their knowledge of investing in collectable coins and serves as the Market Maker in certified United States coins, such as Type II and Type III Liberty Double Eagles and the renowned Indian Head and $3.00 Princess designs of early 1900, as well as key date numismatic treasure in the gold, platinum and silver American Eagle family of coins. FFR also provides a variety of informative publications, newsletters, and other educational material on coin collecting.

“The NRA Competitive Shooting Division is pleased to welcome First Fidelity Reserve as a sponsor of the 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup,” said Mike Krei, Director of NRA’s Competitive Shooting Division. “We are excited to have FFR sponsor another NRA Competitive Shooting championship and appreciate their dedication to our championships, competitive shooting sports and generous support to the 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup.”

For more information on the 2010 NRA Bianchi Cup, or the NRA Action Shooting Program, contact Tom Hughes at 703-267-1451, or by email, BianchiCup@nrahq.org. Team GLOCK Shooting Squad Captain Dave Sevigny won his 8th IDPA National Championship in the Stock Service Pistol (SSP) division along with the High Gun Industry category while teammate Randi Rogers won her 3rd title in the High Lady category.

The IDPA Nationals was host to more than 350 competitors during the four day annual defensive pistol shooting tournament. Participants fired a minimum of 241 rounds through seventeen courses of fire which featured moving targets, a shoot house, low-light scenarios requiring use of a hand held flashlight, shooting from cover and prone positions including from in and around motor vehicles, with target distances ranging from three to ninety feet.

Team GLOCK Captain Dave Sevigny dominated the competition with an overall best time of 222.56 seconds and won fourteen stages in the Stock division with a GLOCK 34 in 9×19. Stock division runner-up Gordon Carrell and 3rd place finisher Phil Strader, scored 260.46 seconds and 264.01 seconds respectively with S&W-M&P pistols. Sevigny has now won the prestigious IDPA National championship eight times in ten appearances and finished in the top three overall in each contest; the only competitor to accomplish such a feat. “After beginning in the GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation I joined IDPA so there’s some tradition here. It was a good competition and I was happy to compete at the IDPA Nationals once again,” said Sevigny.

Randi Rogers of Team GLOCK won the High Lady title in 7th place Stock/Master class with a final score of 309.42 seconds with a GLOCK 34 in 9×19. “The IDPA Nationals was a pleasant end to the 2009 shooting season. I look forward to take what I have learned throughout the season, perfect my craft during the off season and come back even stronger next year,” said Rogers. ”A favorite stage of mine was Stage 8 named “El-Prez At The Movies.” This was a 12- round, three target, Limited Vickers stage. The course of fire required a start with only six rounds in the pistol, then to draw and engage each target twice, complete a mandatory reload and re-engage each target twice with no make up shots. I shot the stage in 9.40 seconds with two points down for a total time of 10.40 seconds. This time placed me 5th out of 31 Master-class Stock division competitors on this stage,” added Rogers. Twenty-eight women, roughly 8% of the field of competitors, were entered in the ladies category in 2009. Three-time Ladies IDPA National champion Julie Goloski-Golob finished in 14th place Stock/Master class and was the High Lady runner-up at 327.78 seconds with an S&W M&P.`

Another notable finish came from Enhanced Service Pistol division champion and High Law Enforcement winner, Robert G. Vogel, who used a GLOCK 34 in 9×19 with a score of 230.47 seconds to capture his 3rd IDPA National championship.

“Congratulations to Dave and Randi at the IDPA National Championships,” said Craig Dutton, Assistant National Sales Manager at GLOCK, Inc. “The employees at GLOCK, Inc. are proud of the accomplishments that the entire squad has earned this year.”

About GLOCK, Inc:<br
