title="AmmoLand Reports" href="http://www.ammoland.com/" target="_self">Ammoland.com)- Always the innovator, Vortex Optics added first focal plane models to its popular Viper HS Riflescope series.

To the users eye, first focal plane reticles expand and decrease in size in a direct, proportional relationship to magnification. This is due to the reticle’s forward placement in the optical system. The benefit of that placement is all reticle sustentions remain constant and useable throughout the entire zoom range.

Translation – Your BDC and subtension reticle references are accurate at all magnifications. That’s right, no more having to double-check your scopes setting when that trophy of a lifetime steps out at distance, everything seems to be happening at once and you want to use your reticle’s drop references – or worse, using drop references on the incorrect magnification setting resulting in a poor hit or miss. It’s basically a failsafe measure.

“Many of our riflescopes built for tactical applications and long-range shooting where time is a critical variable employ first focal plane reticles and the advantages they offer,” said Joe Hamilton, Vortex Optics national sales manager.

“It just made sense to further incorporate them into our hunting riflescopes as an option for hunters who want to maximize their effective range during the types of high-pressure situations they can encounter in the field.”

The new first focal plane Vortex Viper HS models add a new twist to hunting-oriented riflescopes and are sure to turn heads. Reticle images and information are available on the vortexoptics.com Web site.

Available: 4-16×50 LR (XLR Reticle), 6-24×50 LR (XLR Reticle)

American-owned, Wisconsin-based Vortex Optics designs, engineers and distributes a complete line of premium binoculars, riflescopes, spotting scopes, tripods and related accessories. Dedicated to exceptional quality, value and unrivaled customer service, Vortex backs its products with its unconditional, lifetime VIP-warranty. class="wp-caption-text">Eric at the Gunmart Blog

United States --(Ammoland.com)- I recently had a box show up at my front door from the good people over at Aimpoint. Inside said box was a sample of one of their tactical red dot sights… the Aimpoint Micro T1.

Aimpoint Micro T1 Sight

Now, I will start off by saying that over the years I have logged a good bit of trigger time with what seems like the entire spectrum of red dots. From the el cheapos to the higher dollar, combat ready models to just about everything in between. However, this would turn out to be the first time that I would actually get to have any range time with any of the products offered by Aimpoint.

My first impression upon opening the box was that it seemed like a pretty solid little unit. Fit and finish is nice, and it just seems really well made when you hold it in your hand and give it the once over. When I held it up to my eye I was literally blown away at the quality of the glass. Its amazingly clear.

If you don’t think that high quality glass is important on a red dot, then you just have not ever used a really good red dot before. High quality glass makes an incredible difference. Especially when shooting at greater distances. The glass on the Aimpoint Micro is without a doubt some of the best that I have ever seen. Clear, sharp, and definitely high quality. Its astounding.

Aimpoint Micro T1 Sight

The other cool thing in that box which jumped out at me was their very well thought out multi-tool. Its designed to be used for tightening the base screws, adjusting windage and elevation, as well as screwing and unscrewing the battery compartment. The windage and elevation can also be adjusted by flipping over the screw caps that cover the adjustment knobs and using them as a“wrench”. The entire thing is just a really well thought out design all the way around.

First on my list for this review was a quick stop at my postal scale to see how micro the Micro really was. Are you ready for this… 2.8 oz. I kid you not. The riser mount that they sent me was also top notch and solid as a rock. It weighed in at miniscule 2.6 oz. Light as a feather would sound cliche, but it may never have been more fitting than this. Needless to say, there is not any noticeable difference in weight when this sight is mounted to a rifle or carbine. The overall size of the sight itself is incredibly small (2.4 inches in length and 1.5 inches in height). When you think about its size in comparison to other optics on the market today, and in relation to where optics were just a few years ago its almost mind boggling.

Aimpoint Micro T1 Sight

After the obligatory photo session, I was off to my friendly neighborhood shooting range for a little practice session. I would not be disappointed. No, I didn’t do any extreme torture testing with this optic… mainly because I didn’t have access to a helicopter from which to throw it out of, but mostly because it would have just been redundant. The Micro has been run hard and abused well beyond the point that any optic should ever be expected to withstand… and it has kept on keeping on.

What I did do with this optic is put it through half a dozen different range sessions which worked out to be just under 1,000 rounds. After getting it initially sighted in there was no loss of zero… ever. I removed and replaced the optic from the rail of my Daniel Defense DDM4 after each and every range trip and not once did it have any effect on it’s zero.

Aimpoint Micro T1 Sight

The riser mount gives a perfect co-witness with standard AR iron sights. The optic also proves to provide very fast target acquisition with both eyes open, but I felt more comfortable closing one eye for more measured shots out at the 100 yard marker.

The dot on this unit is spectacular in any light. Indoors or out. It is a 4 MOA dot with 1x magnification. There are 12 brightness settings and each one is a very precise increment which allows the user to tailor the dot to their own personal needs and wants and for just about any light condition imaginable. In normal inside conditions to even very low light conditions, I used the optic very successfully on the #6 setting. Anything more than that indoors and its just over powering for me… its that darn bright. Outside on the brightest of days you come to really appreciate how bright this optic really is. I went all the way up to the #12 setting on a very bright afternoon, but your eyes and preferences may vary… it certainly is extremely capable even in the brightest of conditions.

The Micro runs on one coin-sized CR2032 3 volt battery which has a run time of an amazing 50K hours – thats over 5 years of continuous use. Wow! It really begs the question as to why there is any reason to ever even turn the darn thing off.

All-in-all this is a spectacular red dot. Street price is somewhere in the +/- $600 range. Its often said that in life you get what you pay for and I think the Micro is a shining example of that. The Aimpoint Micro is without a doubt the Ferrari of Red Dots. Over the years its been torture tested, combat tested, and now Gunmart tested to the point that its clearly worth every penny.

If I personally were going into combat with a red dot optic on my rifle… this is the one that I would want it to be.

*Many more pics <a

Set your 20-yard pin just like you would on any other sight, and then micro-adjust your Retina Lock to align with your eye while your anchor point and hold are perfect. Every shot after that will provide instant feedback that will tell you if there is even the slightest bit of torque or change in your anchor point.

In almost no time at all, you’ll see how the IQ’s Retina Lock reinforces the proper form—no matter the angle of inclination or declination—to build confidence and to ultimately extend your effective shooting range.

Firearms User Network

Shavano Park TX --(Ammoland.com)- A peep sight offers a more natural method of alignment compared to standard open sights.

Looking through an aperture your eye will tend to seek the greatest light sources, which is the center of the hole.

Focusing on the front sight naturally achieves sight alignment. Plus, this system requires the rear sight to be close to the aiming eye, maximizing sight radius. Several military’s adopted this type of iron sight before The War to End All Wars and nearly all the major powers switched them prior to the next one.

Even with the optical sights becoming more prominent rear apertures remain a standard aiming system for military rifles around the world.

This explains why rear peep sights are generally superior to other types of irons, but where is it written that this rear aperture has to be a circle?

Like most improvements, people begin to accept the new way as the “only” way and further development ceases. Peep sights are an improvement, and a round aperture is most obvious but is it always ideal?

One hint that other aperture shapes may show their worth is various experiments done by a few Service Rifle teams. High Power requires iron sights and Service Rifles must utilize a sight similar externally to as-issue gear, however, the internals can be improved.

Shooting Sight Rectangular Apertures have been tested by both the US Navy and US Army Reserve. As the name suggests, the rear circular peep is replaced by a rectangle. The word is still out if this is a true improvement but initial tests have shown some promise.

Another similar development on the practical side is the DiamondHead Sight. Marketed by ShieldShot, Ltd (www.diamondhead-usa.com) this BUIS (Back Up Iron Sight) unit features a uniquely shaped diamond-shaped aperture. The concept is to more easily align the front sight perfectly in the center of the rear aperture quicker.

The edges of the aperture are enhanced with post extensions at the corners. This provides additional reference points to aid in centering up a focused front sight.

The unit is a rugged, compact flip-up iron sight that is click adjustable for windage, mounts to any Picatinny (Weaver) rail and features two apertures of different sizes. The sight gives the same height as a normal AR-15 rear sight.

Ammoland.com)- Until now, the 1911 owner who wanted both custom grips and a laser for their 1911 was out of luck.

Crimson Trace, the industry leader in the laser sight arena has solved this problem by integrating their patented, grip activated laser with a range of high-end stock materials, such as G10 and stabilized laminated wood, bringing both artistry and rugged engineering to John Browning’s classic design.

The Master Series starts with two solid stock blanks which are then CNC machined to tolerances of 0.002” to form the grip profile and texture. Skilled technicians carefully set the laser sighting module and instinctive activation switch package into the grips by hand and the entire package can then be easily installed by the end user. Simply remove the original grip screws, pull off the old grips and snap on the Master Series replacements.

Through the use of an ultra-compact diode module and inspired design, the Master Series is compatible with any ambidextrous safety on the market and features a new master on/off switch. This combination means that popular bobtail versions of the government and commander size pistols now also have Lasergrip option, allowing this easily-carried defensive handgun to benefit fully from the advantages of laser sights.

The shooting industry got a sneak peek at the Master Series grips at SHOT show in January and feedback from dealers, trainers and professional shooters was incorporated in to the final design. These newest grips will be available in early May, with an expected MSRP of $360.

About:

Crimson Trace is the world’s only manufacturer of grip-integrated laser sighting systems. Police, all branches of the U.S. Military, and responsible citizens worldwide use patented Lasergrips. Crimson Trace Lasergrips are recommended as an essential accessory by some of the world’s top firearm trainers. For more information, please contact us at 1-800-442-2406, visit Meprolight

Or Akiva, Israel --(Ammoland.com)- Meprolight, a provider of innovative weapon sights, today announced an enhanced version of Mepro GLS, a self-illuminated optical sight for 40mm grenade launcher, installed on assault rifles.

The enhanced version of Mepro GLS enables effective fire against light armor and infantry targets up to a range of 400 meters, instead of 350 meters in the previous version. In addition, the enhanced version enables range estimation.

Mepro GLS dual illuminated optical sight operates under all lighting and weather conditions for 5-8 years without the use of batteries or any other external power source. The sight provides a 24-hour-a-day solution for the fighter. The light weight, compact unit, only 62mm (2.44 inches) long, mounts with three different mounting adapters to standard top and side rails.

“Mepro GLS solves the aiming limitations of grenade launchers, helping soldiers determine the elevation to the target, maximizing first round hit probability,” said Golan Kalimi, Meprolight’s Vice President Marketing.

“Achieving high accuracy is no longer a problem. The soldier simply superimposes the illuminated dot in the sight window onto the target.”

During the day, a light collector tube concentrates available ambient light into a dot and projects it onto the sight lens. At night, a small tritium light source supplies the light for the dot.

About Meprolight
Meprolight designs and manufactures a wide array of electro-optical and optical sights and devices, night vision devices, thermal sights and a wide variety of night sights and other tritium- and LED-illuminated products and accessories for safety and security applications for the law enforcement, military and civilian communities. First press of the activation switch produces the constant on mode, second press produces pulse mode, and third press deactivates the laser. A small LED on the back of the laser indicates if the laser is on and what mode it is in.

This RSL fits Springfield Armory, Colt, Sig Sauer, Les Baer, Ed Brown, Dan Wesson, Nighthawk and Charles Daly 1911 pistols with Novak low mount sights. Visit LaserLyte’s Web site for a complete fit guide. The body is constructed from MIM 4650, nickel enriched high carbon steel, the same material used for most heavy-duty gun parts such as iron sights, hammers and levers. The laser body is precision mounted to a proprietary adapter made of 1018 steel, low carbon mild steel. It is also black chrome, bead blasted for a non-reflective finish.

When mounted onto the pistol the RSL will fit all Level I and II holsters. The RSL is powered by four 377 batteries that provide six hours of normal usage. Normal usage is defined as one minute on and one minute off. class="wp-caption-text">Laserlyte

Cottonwood, Ariz. –-(AmmoLand.com)- LaserLyte® announces its new Rear Sight Laser (RSL) model for Ruger® SR9® standard and compact pistols. The RSL’s ground-breaking new laser design incorporated into the rear sight, compact size and revolutionary performance make it the most extraordinary system LaserLyte has produced. Easy-to-install and easy-to-operate, the new RSL offers a high-power laser with the benefit of not having to replace existing grips or internal stock parts. The RSL is the only laser system currently available that allows the user to holster a lasered SR9 pistol.

The RSL’s activation switch is a strategically placed button at the back of the slide that is easily activated by the thumb in a normal shooting position for left- or right-handed shooters. First press of the activation switch produces the constant on mode, second press produces pulse mode, and third press deactivates the laser. A small LED on the back of the laser indicates if the laser is on and what mode it is in.

The RSL is also available for Glock®, Springfield Armory® XD/XD(M)™ and Smith & Wesson® M&P™ pistols. The unit is constructed from MIM 4650, nickel enriched high carbon steel, the same material used for most heavy-duty gun parts such as iron sights, hammers and levers. It is also black chrome, bead blasted for a non-reflective finish. When mounted onto the pistol the RSL will fit all Level I and II holsters. The RSL is powered by four 377 batteries that provide six hours of normal usage. Normal usage is defined as one minute on and one minute off. This test mimics actual usage where the unit is turned on and off and the battery is given time to automatically regenerate. LaserLyte offers discounted batteries at www.laserlyte.com. The RSL is tested and recommended by the National Tactical Officer’s Association.

LaserLyte Rear Sight Laser Specifications:

Product Number: RL-SR

Compatible Firearms: Fits all Ruger SR9 standard and compact

Power Output: Class IIIA, 5mw

Laser module: 650nm

Batteries: 4-377

Battery Life: Normal Usage – constant on: 5 hours +, pulse mode: 10 hours +

Weight: 1.2 oz., 34.02 g

Length: .85 in., 21.59 mm

Width: 1.05 in., 26.67 mm

Height: .35 in., 8.89 mm

Range at Night: 500 yd., 457.2 m

MSRP: $199.95

LaserLyte, the leader in laser technology, is the shooting and hunting division of P&L Industries. class="wp-caption-text">IQ Bowsight

Superior, Wisconsin --(AmmoLand.com)- In any shooting sport, consistency is the key to accuracy. In the archery world, the new revolutionary IQ Bowsight-with its patented Retina Lock system-is about to redefine everything we thought we knew about consistency and accuracy.

Used correctly, the IQ Bowsight will extend your effective range by ensuring your hold, form and anchor point are all absolutely consistent from shot to shot, from the range to the field.

The genius of the Retina Lock design is its Tunnel Vision System that places a magnifying lens in front of a colored optic element inside of the bezel. Only when perfectly aligned, the Retina Lock produces a green glow behind a black centering dot, verifying your position, hold and anchor point are consistent every time. It’s fast, intuitive and almost effortless, but the brilliance of the IQ Bowsight is that it performs equally with or without a peep sight.

It may come as no surprise that inconsistent torque on the bow imparted by the forward hand is the absolute enemy of accurate archery practice, as this causes arrows to wander wildly on the horizontal axis despite having a pin centered perfectly on the target.

The variation in grip from the mere addition of gloves can mean the difference between a short blood-trail track to your quarry and a long and unproductive search for a wounded animal-or even a complete miss.

The Retina Lock prevents torque. When torque is applied to the bow, the green glow won’t be centered in the tunnel vision system.

Nor will it be centered if your anchor point changes or you are angling the bow instead of bending at the waist while shooting from an elevated position. This visual feedback is immediate thus allowing for perfect form, muscle memory and accurate arrow placement every time.

Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the IQ Bowsight has unprecedented four-axis adjustability for ideal alignment for any archer. Its StackTight pins nest together, providing closer positioning between pins to accommodate precise aiming points for today’s flat-shooting, high-velocity bows. The fiber optic elements are fully contained in the PinPocket design of the IQ’s aluminum pins. Light Trap technology ensures bright pins in low light conditions to extend your shooting time without the aid of electronics or batteries.

The IQ Bowsight will be available in four- and seven-pin configurations in both left- and right-hand variants. The IQ Bowsight will be arriving on dealers’ shelves by May with suggested retail prices of $199.99 and $219.99 for the four- and seven-pin configurations, respectively. For further information please visit www.iqbowsights.com.

At the recent Archery Trade Association show, one highly regarded professional bowhunter was overheard saying, “This sight is going to revolutionize bowhunting. It’s like having an archery instructor standing over your shoulder telling you exactly what you’re doing wrong and when you’ve got it right.”

We fully expect to see him with the IQ on his bow by fall and his comment comes as high praise for the sight that’s about to rewrite the book on archery accuracy.
Tags: Aimpoint

Chantilly, VA –-(AmmoLand.com)- Aimpoint the originator and worldwide leader in electronic red dot sighting technology, has been awarded a new contract from the US Army for supply of up to 565,783 M68 Close Combat Optic rifle sights.

The Aimpoint CompM4s was chosen following an extensive evaluation and competitive trial of available optical sights by the Army s Research & Development Command (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.

Aimpoint was the only manufacturer whose product fulfilled the Army s rigorous testing criteria during this evaluation, and is the only manufacturer to be selected as a qualified vendor for this contract.

The sight chosen by the Army, the Aimpoint CompM4s, features a battery compartment positioned near the sight base, which gives the sight a streamlined profile and places the switch and battery in a more protected position. A ruggedized switch knob has been integrated as part of the battery compartment housing and features 7 night vision compatible settings and 9 daylight settings.

The modular QRP2 mount maximizes product application for all M4 Carbines and M16 rifles, and eliminates the need for a separate mounting ring. The electronic components in the CompM4s include the latest ACET diode circuitry, which allows the sight to run continuously for up to 8 years on a single battery, and features an internal voltage regulator that makes it possible to utilize any AA sized battery found worldwide for power. The sight features a 2 minute-of-angle (MOA) dot size, making it perfectly suited for use with Aimpoint s 3X Magnifier (3XMag ), Aimpoint Concealed Engagement Unit (CEU ), and all generations of night vision devices. The CompM4s is designed to function under hard use and extreme environmental conditions.

Aimpoint products are specifically designed to outperform all other alternatives – the troops count on us to be better said Brian Lisankie, President of Aimpoint Inc. Since 1997, Aimpoint has proven itself to be a reliable and trusted supplier to the US Armed Forces, and we are proud to continue our twelve year legacy as the supplier of the M68 Close Combat Optic to the US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force.

Aimpoint is the only manufacturer to be type classified for production of the M68 Close Combat Optic, and has consistently met the Army s stringent requirements for quality control and on-time deliveries. Over 750,000 Aimpoint sights have already been supplied to the US Military. Aimpoint products are used by military customers, law enforcement agencies and sportsmen worldwide.

For more information on Aimpoint and Aimpoint products, visit the company s website at: www.aimpoint.com
Tags: Aimpoint

Chantilly, VA –-(AmmoLand.com)- The Aimpoint Philosophy When the time comes to shoot, there should be absolutely no question that you can count on your sight to perform.

We believe that a weapon sight should simplify aiming while meeting the highest possible requirements for reliability and ruggedness. We know that conditions in the field place extreme demands on your equipment, so we design and test Aimpoint products to stand up to any conditions you are likely to encounter.

We also design our products to operate constantly for years on a single battery so your sight will always be ready whenever you need it.

Why a Red Dot Sight?
To be successful, shooters must be able to aim accurately and quickly under a wide variety of conditions. On a shooting range, there is plenty of time to take aim, but in the real world, everything is in fast motion. Add rough terrain, foul weather, poor light and high levels of stress and even the most experienced marksman will be put to the test.

Red dot sights are superior to iron sights and magnifying scopes in several ways. Using these other types of aiming devices require that the shooter’s focus leaves the target. With iron sights, shooters must align the rear and front sights with the target. Magnified scopes slow you down. Your field of vision is severely limited, and locating your target through a tube with one eye closed wastes valuable time and destroys your situational awareness.

The single red dot has been proven to be the fastest type of reticule to place on target, and provides the greatest increase in hit probability on moving targets. Red dot sights allow you to remain focused on the target. Shooting with both eyes open means that you remain in touch with what is going on around you, and will never again miss an important shot because your scope was on the wrong magnification!

Why an Aimpoint Red Dot Sight?
Place the dot on your target – from any angle Aimpoint sights are parallax-free, which means that the visible dot remains parallel to the bore of your weapon no matter what angle your eye is in relation to the sight. This means you never have to worry about centering the dot inside the sight. When the dot is on target, so are you. You will be able to get on target fast, and can forget about being challenged by bad light or moving targets.

All conditions – Anywhere
Aimpoint sights work in all light conditions from the darkness of the forest before dawn to bright mountain sunlight. They are fully submersible so you never have to worry about rain or immersion. Aimpoint sights are developed and tested to be used in any weather conditions, from the sub-zero temperatures of the Arctic to the heat and humidity of the tropics.

On any type of firearm
Whether you have a rifle, shotgun, handgun, black powder rifle or bow, Aimpoint has a sight for you.

Standard features on all Aimpoint sights

Unlimited field of view

Parallax-free and unlimited eye relief

Unaffected by extreme weather conditions

Extremely rugged, durable construction

No hazardous materials

No laser emission that could be harmful to your eyes

Increased aiming confidence and hit probability

Reduced training time and ammunition consumption

Battery life measured in years

User friendliness
Aimpoint sights are extremely user friendly. Operated by a mechanical switch or push-buttons, an Aimpoint sight can be easily and quickly changed to the right setting while simultaneously aiming through your sight. Our mechanical switch and push buttons won’t freeze and are easy to use whether you are wearing gloves or not.

Environmental awareness
At Aimpoint, we take great pride in making sure that neither hazardous nor radioactive materials are used in our sights.

Quality
Aimpoint sights are manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and meet the highest standards of quality. Each sight is hand-built at our state of the art facilities in Sweden, assigned an individual identification number, and subjected to rigorous testing and numerous quality control checks during the manufacturing process.

Aimpoint’s Advanced Circuit Efficiency Technology
We pioneered the development of the red-dot sight in 1975, so every Aimpoint sight has over 35 years of advanced Electro-optical science built in. Aimpoint’s new Advanced Circuit Efficiency Technology combines our superior accuracy and ease of use with significantly lower power usage to maximize battery life.

ACET sights can last up to 50,000 hours (over 5 years on setting 7 out of 10) of constant use from a single battery. That is 49,000 hours more than other competitive sights on the same setting.

Aimpoint has taken another giant step forward by applying its scientific expertise in developing the new Hunter series sights. The Hunter sights offer full length product performance with features like 34mm tubes and digital brightness adjustments. Place the dot on the target, squeeze the trigger, and your job is done. Add an Aimpoint Hunter sight to your favorite firearm and put our science to the test. We’re ready when you are.

Aimpoint – Global leader
Meprolight

Or Akiva, Israel --(AmmoLand.com)- Meprolight, a provider of innovative weapon sights, today announced the global availability of MEPRO MOR – a multi-purpose, multi-activated “red dot” reflex sight with laser designators. Meprolight has started mass production of the innovative sight, and the product is already being used by a number of military forces around the world.

MEPRO MOR is the only sight that actually includes three possibilities in one sight: passive sight (operated without batteries), an active reflex sight for low light conditions, and dual laser pointers (red laser and/or infrared). . The possibility of using the sight without batteries offers cost and energy savings, and enables the soldier to stay in the field longer. Reserve units can store the sights for years and use it immediately when necessary.

MEPRO MOR Multi-Purpose Reflex Sight with Laser Designators

The user can adjust the passive sight’s illumination intensity, according to the external illumination level, using a special switch. The sight has also a one-time zeroing procedure that enables the user to set only one aiming point, and the other sights are zeroed accordingly.

MEPRO MOR is designed and fabricated to the highest military standards, to assure years of reliable operation under all field conditions. The sight weighs only 450 grams and the laser intensity can be adjusted to 1-5MW, according to the client’s request.

The MEPRO MOR, which was developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), is specially designed for quick and instinctive accurate shooting. The large field of view (30 mm diameter) assures effective use of the sight under extreme conditions, such as bad weather or firing after physical stress and under pressure. It also assures rapid target acquisition with one or both eyes open, and rapid transition between long range and close quarters engagements.

“MEPRO MOR enables quick action and instinctive, accurate shooting ability,” said Golan Kalimi, Meprolight’s Vice President of Marketing. “This all-in-one-sight boosts ability while lowering costs by eliminating the need to purchase a separate laser and\or IR designator.”

About Meprolight
Meprolight designs and manufactures a wide array of electro-optical and optical sights and devices, night vision devices, thermal sights, and a wide variety of night sights and other tritium- and LED-illuminated products and accessories for safety and security applications for the law enforcement, military and civilian communities. The Hunter H34L is a full length sight ideal for use on center fire rifles with standard or magnum actions. The compact version, the H34S, is designed for use on standard action rifles and hunting shotguns. Both versions are mounted using two 34mm Weaver-style sight rings that are supplied with each sight. Both versions utilize a premium, multi coated anti-reflex lens in their massive 45mm objective, and operate for up to 50,000 hours (over 5 years) of constant operation from a single CR-2032 battery. Accuracy in any light or weather conditions is provided by a parallax-free lens system with a 2 MOA dot. These sights are fully waterproof, and extremely fast on target.

“The new Hunter Series shows that Aimpoint means business when it comes to hunting” said Brian Lisankie, President of Aimpoint Inc. “This is a completely new product, designed with input from serious hunters across the globe.
