SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--(Ammoland.com)- Thompson/Center Arms Company, Inc. (“TCA”), Traditions Sporting Goods, Inc. (“Traditions”), and Ardesa S.A. d/b/a Ardesa Firearms (“Ardesa”), announced today that they have reached an agreement to settle patent infringement complaints brought by TCA in the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) and U.S. federal court.

Under the terms of the agreement, Traditions and Ardesa have agreed to a multi-year license agreement, allowing them to use certain TCA muzzleloader rifle technology. In exchange, TCA has agreed to dismiss all infringement claims asserted in the complaints. Further details and financial terms of the settlement are not being made available.

COLUMBUS, Georgia --(Ammoland.com)- Engineered on a high strength polymer upper and lower receiver, the two newest Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 models benefit from reduced weight while retaining the looks and familiar operating features of the standard M&P15 rifle.

Each of the Smith & Wesson .22 caliber M&P rifles features Realtree APG .

One of the rimfire rifles comes with a pinned stock while the other features a six-position collapsible stock and an A2-style flash suppressor.

The semi-automatic rifles feature a 16-inch barrel with a twist of 1 in 15 inches. And, both are standard with an A3-style flat top upper receiver, a quad-rail handguard for easily mounting optional accessories and an A2 pistol grip for improved firearm control.

These Smith & Wesson tactical rifles also feature a fully functional charging handle, an AR-15 style magazine release, bolt catch and a two-position receiver mounted safety. The M&P15-22 is complete with a removable A2-style front post sight, an adjustable A2-style rear sight along with a single-stage trigger.

By remaining true to the standard AR-15 design while offering all of the preferred features found on the M&P Rifle Series, the M&P15-22 is well suited for a variety of recreational shooting applications while also being an extremely viable training firearm for law enforcement and military personnel.

With its carbon steel barrel, the M&P15-22 has an unloaded weight of 5.5 pounds. It is designed to accept all 1913 Mil. Std. rail adaptable accessories and most standard after-market AR-15 pistol grips.
