Missoula, MT --(Ammoland.com)- The National Forest Foundation is hosting the 17th Annual Sporting Clays Invitational May 6-7 in New York to help raise funds for the National Forest System. The event’s title sponsor is Remington Outdoor Foundation.

“Remington Outdoor Foundation’s sponsorship of this prestigious sporting clays shoot allows us to contribute to the National Forest Foundation’s efforts to restore and enhance America’s 193 million acres of national forests and grasslands,” said Jim Moore, president of Remington Outdoor Foundation.

“Working with the National Forest Foundation advances our mission of land conservation and providing access to those who enjoy hunting and other forms of outdoor recreation.”

On May 6, a live auction will be held at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, N.Y. Participants can bid on items ranging from the ultimate ski vacation in Colorado to an all-inclusive stay at the luxurious Triple Creek Ranch in Montana. Other auction packages include high-end Remington firearms, an Oregon Cascades escape, a bird hunt with Tom Brokaw, and turkey hunting at New York’s Ten Mile River Preserve.

Guests will uncase their shotguns for a friendly sporting clays team shoot at the Dover Furnace Shooting Grounds in Dover Plains, N.Y., Saturday, May 7. The Betteridge Rolex Challenge, a silent auction, gourmet lunch and team awards presentation will round out the day.

“The National Forest Foundation’s conservation successes are all founded on collaboration and partnerships. In the Remington Outdoor Foundation we have found a partner dedicated to helping us restore and improve thousands of acres across our National Forests, benefiting many of the iconic species that depend on these wild places for habitat,” said Bill Possiel, president of the National Forest Foundation.

Register for the event before April 25 and receive a complimentary use of a four-person golf cart. For more information or to register, visit the National Forest Foundation website.
