GREELEY, Colo. --(Ammoland.com)- Recognizing the explosive growth in 3-Gun competition shooting, Burris has developed a new line of riflescopes built to deliver precision, performance, versatility and shooter confidence.

The new MTAC line offers five new scopes that are designed for the tactical shooters and 3-gun competitors, but are versatile enough for use in the field.

The new MTAC series consists of a 1x-4x 24mm, 1.5x-6x 40mm, 3.5x-10x 42mm, 4.5x-14x 42mm and a 6.5x-20x 50mm. The MTAC 1x-4x 24mm, with its wide field-of-view and illuminated Ballistic CQ 5.56/7.62 reticle is the perfect companion for any AR-style firearm. This scope allows you to quickly and easily engage close targets or take precise aim to 600 yards. For those that want more versatility and confidence for the short-range fast shots, it is also available as a package with the popular FastFireä red-dot reflex sight. Like the 1x-4x scope, the 1.5x-6x 40mm offers an illuminated reticle, but is more suited when longer-range shots are more common.

For the long-range tactical shooter, the MTAC offers three scopes, 3.5x-10x 42mm, 4.5x-14x 42mm and a 6.5x-20x 50mm, all of which have adjustable parallax. All three scopes feature the popular G2B Mil-Dot reticle for precise aiming, distance measurement, holdover and hold off. Additionally these scopes sport the new MTAC Mil-Rad knobs with finger-adjustable/resettable dials for windage and elevation.

The five new riflescopes in the Burris MTAC line offer a generous four inches of eye relief, rubber-coated eyepiece and are made with rugged 30mm tubes. All lenses are precision ground optics that are index matched, multi-coated with the Burris proprietary HiLumeä coating for unsurpassed clear, sharp, high-resolution images.

The new MTAC scope line will be available at retailers in the first quarter of 2012. Suggested retail pricing is: 1x-4x 24mm, $399; 1x-4x 24mm with FastFire, $599; 1.5x-6x 40mm, $399; 3.5x-10x 42mm, $449; 4.5x-14x 42mm, $549; and 6.5x-20x 50mm, $699.

BEAVERTON, OR -(Ammoland.com)-  Leupold’s® intense focus on product development has culminated in a new generation of tactical riflescopes that cover the entire spectrum of optics requirements, from close quarters to extended ranges, for warfighters as well as competitive shooters.

In 2011, the Leupold Tactical Optics Division has launched innovative riflescopes including the Mark 4® 6.5-20x50mm Extended Range/Tactical (ER/T®) M5 Auto-Locking Adjustment model, the Mark 8™ 1.1-8x24mm CQBSS™ and the Mark 4 High Accuracy Multi-Range (HAMR™).

The U.S. Army has chosen the ER/T M5 Auto-Locking Adjustment riflescope as the primary day optic for its newest sniper rifle, the XM2010. In addition, Leupold recently contracted with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to supply the CQBSS for use with M2 heavy machine guns and MK19 grenade machine guns. The Marine Corps sight will carry the M521 designation. “Whatever the mission or application, whether the weapon is a sniper rifle or carbine, we have an optic that will help achieve success on the battlefield or in precision shooting competitions,” said Kevin Trepa, vice president of Leupold’s Tactical Division. “Our next-generation riflescopes are the result of a concentrated product development program with the military over the past couple years, and we will continue our hard work to meet the requirements of our warfighters and civilian shooters alike.”

The ER/T Auto-Locking Adjustment riflescope is specially designed and built with the military sniper in mind. It has an auto-locking elevation adjustment. This feature ensures that reticle adjustment is maintained during rough going and stressful conditions. Reticle options include the Horus™ H27 and H58, as well as Leupold’s Tactical Milling Reticle® (TMR®). Versatile enough for close quarters battle as well as distances out to several hundred meters, the CQBSS is available with the new Horus H27D reticle or Leupold’s Military-Tactical Milling Reticle (M-TMR™). The M-TMR is designed to allow successful range estimation and target engagement with more flexibility than generally possible with other reticle styles. – more -

Built for precise mid-range marksmanship and fast target acquisition, the HAMR features an illuminated CM-R2™ reticle. Leupold’s DeltaPoint™ reflex sight, utilizing either a 7.5-MOA Delta reticle or 3.5-MOA Dot reticle, can be attached to the HAMR, providing instant target acquisition capability at close quarters. (DeltaPoint and HAMR are available as a package.) Other recent developments in the Leupold Tactical line include the Mark 4 Close Quarters/Tactical (CQ/T®) riflescope, which is now offered with the CM-R2 reticle; the Mark 4 20-60x80mm Tactical Spotting Scope available with the Mil Dot or TMR reticle; and the Mark 4 12-40x60mm Tactical Spotting Scope with the Horus H32 (standard or inverted) or H36 reticle (standard or inverted). In addition, the new Integral Mounting System (IMS™), created specifically for most AR and other tactical rifles, features a monolithic, cantilever design for strength and durability under the harshest conditions. The IMS eliminates problems associated with the two most common issues faced when mounting standard riflescopes to AR-style rifles: scope height and eye relief. Leupold Tactical Optics undergo arduous environmental and impact testing to ensure they meet the highest quality standards for durability and dependability.
