Grand Island, Neb. --(Ammoland.com)- Team Hornady along with Hornady President, Steve Hornady competed at the inaugural AR-15/Rockcastle Pro/Am 3-Gun match recently.

As one of the title sponsors, Hornady contributed to the largest 3-Gun prize table, where the sea of “Hornady Red” was highly visible.

Hornady pro shooters provided an opportunity for amateurs and beginners to witness the accuracy and dependability that is the benchmark of Hornady bullets and ammunition.

Steve Hornady shot the eight-stage match and said, “Our professional shooting team demonstrated to the Amateurs the capability and performance level our products are known for; shooting Hornady will get you in the winners circle.”

Fellow teammate and Match Director, Jeff Cramblit set a challenging course of fire that while it looked easy, was deceivingly difficult to execute.

Kelly Neal finished third, Keith Garcia fifth, Bennie Cooley sixth and Rob Romero finished seventh in the Tactical Optics Division. In the Open Division, Clint Upchurch finished second and Michael Voigt took fourth over the two and a half day match.

Team Hornady members, Patrick Kelley and Bennie Cooley donated their time as instructors at the Pro Clinics held on Friday after the last stage was shot.

Cooley stated, “The match was very well organized and being able to explain the shortcuts and help these new shooters was very beneficial and rewarding. It’s always great to give back and to grow the sport of 3-Gun Competition; I’ll be back next year.”
