Team Hornady Member Nic Neel Takes High Junior Title at Double Tap

Grand Island, Neb. –-(Ammoland.com)- Nic Neel, USPSA Grand Master and junior competitive shooter wore the Team Hornady colors for the first time at the Double Tap Championship Practical Pistol Competition in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Turning in a respectable performance as High Junior in the Open Division, Nic not only competed in the 12-stage match, but also officiated as one of the Range Officers.

“What I like best about Hornady bullets is the quality,” said Neel.

“I use 121 grain HAP bullets because they provide me with the consistency and smooth feeding I depend upon in these types of matches. Competing with fellow Team Member Max Michel this weekend was not only cool, but provided an opportunity to learn and improve my shooting skills by observing him. I’m looking forward to being a member of Team Hornady and encouraging other junior shooters to get in the game.”

Kelly Neal Wins 2010 Texas State Carbine Championship

Grand Island, Neb --(AmmoLand.com)- Team Hornady member Kelly Neal won the Open Division and took High Overall amongst 140 other competitors.

The one day event, hosted by the Starry Shooting Range in Corpus Christi, Texas designed a seven stage match using standard and 1/3 scale IPPA paper targets, steel knock down flashers and moving targets to put the shooters to the test.

After the match, Kelly said, “Vickers Scoring method was used which rewards accuracy, so I shot Hornady 55 grain V-MAX™ for the short range courses and Hornady 75 grain BTHP’s for the long range targets; they carry more energy to activate the reactive steel targets. I’m very proud to be a member of Team Hornady, using Hornady, I’m guaranteed the ammo will always be consistent and accurate and Hornady has terrific progressive re-loading equipment.”
