Fort Smith, AR --(Ammoland.com)- THOR Global Defense Group has further revised the XM408 to offer the XM408ASA (Advanced Shroud Assembly) model, an enhanced model of the M96 designed by Bill Ritchie.

“The new XM Series rifle features a barrel shroud and bipod constructed to suit many requests we’ve been receiving from our customers..” says Fernando Boom, Sales Director for THOR

Several options are also available factory direct through distributor Knesek Guns, such as forward mounted rail assemblies for Night Vision or Thermal devices, as well as Cerakote finishes.

The XM Series is chambered in .408 CheyTac and a conversion kit is available for those who are interested in having a .50BMG as well. Ballistic data shows that the .408 CheyTac round is one of the most accurate cartridges ever produced, standard match ammunition is a 419gr projectile constructed from copper-nickel alloy and lathe turned.

The rifles come with a 30” K&P Fluted, match grade barrel as well as an adjustable buttstock assembly. Additionally, a newly released .408 suppressor from TSW is now available with matching serialization for most models.
