USAMU to Host Pistol and Rifle Level 1 Coaches Course

FORT BENNING, Ga. --(Ammoland.com)- The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit will host a Level 1 Rifle Coach Course Sept. 11-12 and a Level 1 Pistol Coach Course Sept. 18-19 at Ft. Benning, Ga., inside the USAMU conference room.

The cost of each course is $125.00. Classes start at 8 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. each day. Each participant will be awarded a Level 1 Coach Certification upon successful completion of the course.

The NRA, Civilian Marksmanship Program, and USA Shooting co-sponsor the Coaches Programs. Each participant must provide their own lodging and meals. For more information contact Coach Rick Hawkins at (706) 545-3893, or email richard.hawkins@usaac.army.mil

2010 ISSF Rifle & Pistol World Cup at Fort Benning, Georgia

FORT BENNING, GA --(Ammoland.com)- USA Shooting is eager to welcome more than 400 competitors from 52 different countries as we embark on the 2010 ISSF World Cup at Fort Benning, Ga. In conjunction with the United States Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU), Valley Hospitality, and the Columbus Visitors Bureau (CVB), USA Shooting is pleased to host this great event. The Opening Ceremony will commence Sunday evening at the prestigious National Infantry Museum in Columbus, Ga.

The World Cup will feature 10 different Olympic rifle and pistol events. From Women’s 3-Position to Rapid Fire to Men’s Prone, you’ll find the best of the best here at the Phillips and Pool Ranges at Fort Benning.
