The Model 629 Stealth Hunter Revolver is a six-round, .44 Magnum®/.44 S&W Special revolver with a velocity increasing 7 ½ inch MagnaPortedâ„ ¢ barrel. The barrel has a full-length under lug for increased stability and recoil reduction. Fitted with a drift adjustable dovetail red ramp front sight and an adjustable black blade rear sight, this hunting handgun also has integral Weaver style slots for mounting optics.
Weighing in at 56 ounces, the Model 629 Stealth Hunter Handgun has an overall length of 12 7/8 inches. The entire handgun is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a glare reducing matte black finish, both important features for the hunter. The Model 629 Revolver features a pair of slip-resistant synthetic rubber black grips designed to aid hunters in inclement weather.
Other Performance Center features include a color-case hardened forged trigger and hammer for a smoother action plus an overtravel stop for a precise, accuracy-enhancing trigger break. The Model 629 features a balldetent lockup between the frame and cylinder crane that provides increased strength. An old-school pinned sear further allows a clean, crisp trigger break in both single and double action shooting.
