Lone Star State’s Jim Bodkin Takes Limited-10 Title At Area 4

SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. — -(AmmoLand.com)- Jim Bodkin of Canyon, Texas, claimed the Limited-10 Pistol title at the U.S. Practical Shooting Association’s Area 4 Regional Championships held in San Angelo, Texas, November 14-16.

Bodkin dominated the division by winning nine of the 12 stages and finishing second on the remaining three to take first place by more than 176 point with a final score of 1112.4735.

“Jim was really on his game this weekend shooting a near flawless match. Of all our division champs, his was the most dominant performance in terms of stage wins and shooting consistency,” said Dave Thomas, USPSA’s executive director.

Rounding out the top five in the Limited-10 division were Tom Drazy of Cumberland, Wis., in second with 936.4436, Chris Volirakis of Buffalo Gap, Texas, in third with 890.9388 and Scott Hattrup of Lenexa, Kan., in fourth with 755.8310 and Duane Hemphill of San Antonio, Texas, in fifth with 678.2465.

The USPSA Area 4 Championships were held at the San Angelo Gun Club with a total of 120 top pistol shooters competed in USPSA’s Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production, Revolver and Single Stack divisions.

The USPSA Area 4 region includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas but competitors from Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New Mexico, New York and Utah attend.
