Orlando, FL –  -(Ammoland.com)- Kruger Optical will unveil its K-5 Riflescope Series at SHOT Show 2009. The innovative 5x scopes can be seen at Booth #4684 at the show, Jan. 15-18, 2009, in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

For over a decade, the engineering-based company has been developing and supplying private-label optics for well-known optics sellers. This year, the company is introducing a collection of Kruger Optical-branded products, including riflescopes, binoculars and spotters for recreational and tactical markets.

The K-5 hunting scopes combine a classic look with new technology. Engineered and crafted in Sisters, Oregon, USA, the scopes offer features 20th century hunters could only dream of, said Kruger Optical President Mark Thomas.

Optics is what we do, and we’re good at it,” Thomas said. “With the Kruger-branded products, we decided to create user-friendly products from scratch. We started with the user interface and designed the core of the product around that. So with all our products, we have found ways to make them easier to use.”

Features such as waterproof construction and technical coatings are important, Thomas said, but what really makes a product stand out is its ease of use.

“If you have to spend a lot of time adjusting your scope or finding your target, the deer will be gone before you get your shot. If that’s happening, you don’t have the right scope, he said. “We thought we could provide a better user interface than we were seeing out in the market.”

All seven models in the K-5 family feature a 5x erector system that allows users to select the magnification and field of view for any situation.

The scopes also feature Rapid Target Technology(RTT), allowing for quick and easy target acquisition. In a fast-paced hunting situation, being able to see an image quickly can make the difference between success and disappointment, Thomas said.

Rapid Target Technology consists of an oversized exit pupil (up to 20mm in some scopes), plus excellent eye relief (>4 inches) that is constant over the scope¡¯s entire magnification range. These features mean the user can quickly find a target, without having to hunt for the image each time the magnification changes.

In addition, K-5 scopes feature high-performance, fully broadband antireflection coated optics and color corrected APO objectives. Hydrophobic, scratch-resistant coatings protect and repel water from external lenses.

With a one-piece main tube, every K-5 scope is strong, durable and lightweight. A 30mm tube allows for plenty of windage and elevation adjustment. Resettable, accurate ¨ù- and ¨û-minute windage and elevation clicks allow for precise sighting. Low-profile knobs don¡¯t interfere with viewing.

All scopes are waterproof and nitrogen processed for fogproof performance in any weather.

Scopes are available in seven models: 1.5-8×40 1¡±, 2.5-12×40 1¡±, 2.5-12×50 1¡±, 3-15×40 1¡± SF, 3-15×52 30mm SF, 4-20×52 30mm SF and 6-30×52 30mm SF. Scopes are equipped with heavy duplex, hunter plex or BDC (bullet drop compensating) reticles.

In addition to providing private label and Kruger Optical products, Kruger Optical offers a complete optics collection under license from Columbia Sportswear Company. The company offers Columbia binoculars, spotters and riflescopes for the wilderness, birding, boating, hunting and general markets. Columbia products will also be featured at the show.
