FAIRFAX, VA – HarborSite USANA, a sportsman’s facility and tactical training center, will host the site’s first annual NRA Day in Pittsgrove Township, New Jersey, on March 21, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free event is open to the public and will include seminars and activities focused on NRA programs, gun safety and firearms instruction.

“We want to encourage people to join NRA because the more involved they are in shooting and the shooting sports, the more likely they are to continue to shoot,” said Dan Bornath, Executive Vice President of HarborSite USANA. “We want to introduce people to this range, it’s been here for 40 years and is under new ownership.”

A host of activities will be available to attendees, including an introduction to NRA programs such as Women’s Programs, Youth Programs, Hunter Services, Competitive Shooting and the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Program. HarborSite will also be offering a NRA Certified Basic Pistol Course for concealed carry permits. The cost of the course is $100 and includes all student materials. Firearms, ammunition, target, eye and ear protection will be provided, but attendees can bring their own firearms and ammunition to shoot. Food, beverages and products will be available through HarborSite’s full service café and retail store.
