NJOA – We’ve got your back!
New Jersey – While you’re in the fields, on the sea or out in the woods there are a lot of people working to take away your freedoms to fish, hunt and trap. That’s why the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance was formed – “we’ve got your back!”
We safeguard your freedoms by helping to elect outdoor minded candidates to public office. The NJOA also educates New Jersey legislators so that they may enact laws that protect and expand these freedoms.
We are the only organization in New Jersey dedicated to representing the interests of anglers, hunters, trappers and forest and marine interests.
Plus, every membership dollar stays here in New Jersey fighting for you – we are not a national organization, we are dedicated to New Jersey issues. We are also an all volunteer organization, so every dollar is spent on your behalf, not on salaries.
Your support has helped us to achieve the following:
- Elect three (3) conservation-minded legislators to office.
- Create New Jersey’s first Angling and Hunting Conservation Caucus.
- Hire a leading government affairs firm to represent us in Trenton.
- Promote five (5) pieces of pro-angling and pro-hunting legislation.
- Make Trenton understand that the voice of the conservationist can no longer be ignored.

Legislation endorsed by animal rights activists is now pending and could severely restrict fishing, hunting and trapping. It will also damage forest and marine ecology.

NJOA – New Jersey Outdoor Alliance is the state’s first major political action committee devoted to the task of electing outdoor-minded candidates to public office.
NJOA has formed with the support of leaders of major pro-hunting, pro-angling, and pro-trapping organizations. We are not a hunting, fishing, or trapping “club” or “group,” and do not compete with the interests of such organizations. NJOA helps to ensure that strong wildlife and natural resource protection laws are produced by outdoor-minded elected officials.
