One more thing. If I ever do decide to have the front strap hand checkered by Springfield Armory's Custom Shop I will most likely purchase a set of VZ grips in black. Possibly VZ's Operator II grips. The G10 grips from VZ are the cats pajama's in 1911 grip. There is substitute for VZ grips. It's just that plain and simple. Anything else is either for cosmetic reasons or frugal 1911 gun owners. No, I don't work for VZ Grips. LMAO

The SA MC Operator is possibly the best quality 1911 in the market place today. Although it is a production line gun it was the gun that was submitted for the MARSOC CQBP program. It meets and exceeds the Corps requirements for a duty ready 1911 pistol. They originally chose the Kimber offering simply known as the "The Warrior" pistol. Why they accepted a Kimber is beyond me but they did and from personel experience working with MARSOCK the Kimber pistol just really didn't hold up their end of the bargain when put through high round counts. I, personally, like the 9154 the best. The other thing I really really want would be a CCO in stainless. Champion top on an OM bottom.
