BEAVERTON, Ore. – -(AmmoLand.com)-Leupold’s® Mark AR™ series provides a high-performance, attractively priced riflescope option for those who hunt with AR15-style semi-automatic rifles.

The series includes a 1.5-4x20mm model designed for close- to mid-range shooting, and a 3-9x40mm model for longer-range shooting.

“As more and more hunters take the field with AR15-style rifles, we have seen a growing need for tactical riflescopes that deliver outstanding performance in hunting applications as well as value for the price,” said Mike Slack, Leupold’s marketing communications manager. “Our Mark AR series meets this need, as well as the needs of traditional rifle hunters, with bright, crisp, reliable and rugged optics that can often make the difference in whether a hunt is successful or not.”

The Mark AR 1.5-4x20mm riflescope features a wide field of view at the low 1.5x magnification (75 feet at 100 yards). Combined with the intermediate-range precision afforded at the 4x magnification, this makes the 1.5-4x20mm an ideal choice for close- or mid-range hunting situations.

To enhance shooting accuracy at longer ranges, the 3-9x40mm has a ½-MOA T2 elevation adjustment that includes a pre-engraved Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) dial to match the ballistics of common 55-grain .223 Remington/5.56 NATO loads. For a nominal fee, the Leupold Custom Shop can create additional dials to match other calibers and/or loads.

Other key features of the Mark AR riflescopes:

  • Multicoat 4® lens system for peak light transmission, superior image brightness, edge-to-edge sharpness across the visual field, and optimal contrast.
  • Completely waterproof and fog proof.
  • Classic lockable eyepiece to securely maintain focus, with tactile power indicator which makes it easy to tell the scope’s magnification without taking the eye from the eyepiece

Each scope has a one-inch maintube and comes in a non-reflective matte black finish. The 1.5-4x20mm has a Duplex® reticle, measures 9.2 inches long and weighs 9.5 ounces. The 3-9x40mm offers Duplex or Mil Dot reticle options, measures 12.4 inches long and weighs 12.5 ounces.

To ensure superior performance in the field, Leupold factory tests Mark AR riflescopes under the most demanding conditions. They are backed by Leupold’s Tactical Optical Products Warranty.
