One-Gun-A-Month Surprise Vote Tomorrow In NJ Senate
S. 1774 would prohibit law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one handgun a month.
Trenton, NJ – -(AmmoLand.com)- The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is urging all New Jersey firearms retailers and gun owners to call their state senator immediately to voice opposition to S-1774, legislation which would prohibit law-abiding citizens from purchasing more than one handgun a month.
The bill is scheduled for a floor vote tomorrow, Thursday June 25, 2009.
It is imperative that law-abiding citizens let their voices be heard on this issue. This legislation was pulled from a floor vote back in February, but has been pushed by Governor Corzine for a Senate vote as recently as today.
NSSF, founded in 1961, is the trade association for the firearms, ammunition and recreational shooting sports industry. It promotes the safe ownership and responsible use of products its members make and sell. For more information, visit www.nssf.org
