East Alton, IL – -( For the second consecutive year, Winchester® Ammunition has been awarded the Ammunition Manufacturer of the Year award by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW).

Each year, the NASGW honors industry excellence with award winners selected by the wholesaler members of the association. The members nominate and vote for outstanding manufacturers that truly embrace partnership with wholesalers and support the two-step distribution system.

Winchester Ammunition received the honor during the NASGW’s 36th annual meeting & expo in Reno, NV.

“We are honored to be named Ammunition Manufacturer of the Year,” said Dick Hammett, Winchester Ammunition president. “Both our Marketing and Sales staffs are committed to promoting and selling our products through our Wholesale Distributors and Independent Dealers. In addition, our New Product Development Department sets new standards in ammunition technology year after year.”

The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers was organized in 1953 and incorporated in 1954. The NASGW is the organizer and sponsor of the industry’s former Hunting Show, now known as the NASGW Annual Meeting/Expo Event. This newly formatted annual event provides educational, marketing and communications opportunity for the hunting and shooting sports wholesaler, manufacturer and sales professional.
