GLASGOW, Mont. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission has proposed two alternatives for mountain lion hunting season regulations for FWP Region 6 outside lion Hunting Districts 680 and 690.

The first proposed alternative would allow three legal lions of any sex to be harvested during the 2010 season. The second alternative would allow four lions of any sex to be harvested in these areas.

Mountain lion regulations during the 2009 season allowed the harvest of four animals — with a female sub-quota of one lion — in Region 6 outside of Hunting Districts 680 and 690.

Public comment on the proposed 2010 season is being accepted by the Commission until 5 p.m. on May 14. Electronic comments should be sent to [email protected] . Written comments should be sent to: Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Commission, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701.
