Taurus Firearms Proud To Sponsor West Point Pistol Team
MIAMI, FL –-(Ammoland.com)- Taurus International is pleased to announce it will continue its sponsorship of the United States Military Academy Cadet Pistol Team in 2010.
The team has won three out of the past five national intercollegiate championships and this year swept all competition categories.
Recently Bob Morrison, President and CEO of Taurus, traveled to West Point to congratulate the team on its outstanding victory at this year’s collegiate championship. He also presented BG William E. Rapp, Commandant of Cadets, and Cadet Paul Baker, current member of the West Point pistol team, with a check to renew Taurus’ sponsorship of the team.
“Taurus is proud to sponsor the West Point Team,” said Bob Morrison. “As a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point I am honored Taurus is able to provide this support. The Pistol Team relies on donations from individuals and corporations and Taurus is happy to be able to provide a majority of the funding that allows them to prevail in this hotly contested annual shoot out.”
Travel, lodging, supplies, uniforms and firearms are mostly provided through this funding and without it the team could not compete. Taurus will be hosting a fundraising event later this year that will allow the firearms industry to participate in the support of the team.
