Firearms Training Day On Gun Talk Radio
MANDEVILLE, LA –-(Ammoland.com)- Top training experts join Tom Gresham this Sunday, July 11th, on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk (R) Radio, the only nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the Massad Ayoob, author of over 20 books and a firearms and combat instructor for over 30 years, brings his decades of training knowledge back to Gun Talk.
Long-time director of the Lethal Force Institute, Ayoob left LFI in 2009 to form the Massad Ayoob Group, or MAG. MAG courses include the “Armed Citizen’s Rules of Engagement”, and are taught all over the US.
John Howard, the NRA’s National Instructor Trainer, leads the program that has trained over 65,000 instructors, 3,800 coaches, and 1,700 training counselors over the years. Howard drops by Gun Talk to discuss the process for becoming an NRA Certified Instructor, which includes completing the NRA Instructor Training Course in the chosen discipline.
Ed Head, Operations Manager at Gunsite, brings decades of law enforcement experience to his classes. An instructor at Gunsite since 1991, Head teaches classes on Pistols, Carbines, Rifles, Shotguns and numerous specialty courses.
As Executive Director of the Professional Outdoor Media Association, or POMA, Laurie Lee Dovey is part of a group of media professionals whose mission it is to “defend, support and promote the heritage of hunting, fishing, shooting and traditional outdoor sports through writing, photography and other means.” From August 11th-14th, hundreds of the biggest names in the outdoor industry will be in LaPorte, Ind., at POMA’s annual conference, including Tom Gresham. Tiger McKee, Shootrite’s founder and director, “is a lifelong student of personal combat, and is one of the nation’s top firearms instructors for armed citizens, law enforcement, military and security personnel,” according to not only the website, but to anyone who has taken a class taught by McKee.
Using his knowledge as an instructor and trainer, McKee has contributed training tips and techniques to dozens of magazines, newsletters and TV shows, has written “The Book of Two Guns” and has designed many useful firearms related items, including his own AR-15.
