Leupold Tactical Optics Musters Elite Sales Force for LE Market
BEAVERTON, Ore. –-(Ammoland.com)- Leupold’s Tactical Optics Division has named Tim O’Connor as its new Law Enforcement Sales Manager.
He serves the law enforcement community with three leading sales rep groups: DeMilt Associates, LLC; National Sales & Marketing Group; and Wills & Associates Inc.
O’Connor joined Leupold in 1999 in the technical services group, rising to the rank of technical services/custom shop supervisor before becoming a product line manager in 2007. Earlier this year, O’Connor moved into the position of tactical sales and training specialist prior to being promoted to his current position.
A lifelong shooter and firearms enthusiast, O’Connor has completed numerous training courses in shotgun, rifle, and handgun operation and instruction. He holds a B.A. in secondary education from Concordia University in Portland, Ore.
Based in Olney, Md., DeMilt Associates is led by Richard DeMilt, president and CEO. He has more than 28 years of experience in law enforcement product sales, including executive-level positions with FNH USA and Colt’s Manufacturing Co. In addition to his many relationships within the law enforcement industry, DeMilt is an authority on firearms products, use and safety. DeMilt Associates covers the Northeastern U.S. for Leupold.
Headquartered near Charlotte, N.C., National Sales and Marketing Group is assigned the Southeastern U.S. territory for Leupold. President Kevin Tapia’s past sales experience includes managerial positions with Insight Tech-Gear and SIGARMS (now known as SIG SAUER). Tapia is well versed in all aspects of the law enforcement industry relating to business/product development, sales and marketing.
Wills & Associates covers the West Coast and Midwest territories for Leupold. Founder Randy Mills started his law enforcement career in 1992 and was director of sales and national tactical liaison for Point Blank Body Armor. He was a decorated police officer and is a champion competitive shooter. Wills and his sales team have decades of combined knowledge and relationship-building experience in the law enforcement industry.

Leupold’s Tactical Optics Division plans a number of new product introductions in 2010. The Leupold Tactical Optics line includes Mark 4 Close Quarters/Tactical (CQ/T), Mid Range/Tactical (MR/T), Long Range/Tactical (LR/T) and Extended Range/Tactical (ER/T) riflescopes; Mark 4 Prismatic® 1x14mm riflescope; Mark 4 tactical spotting scope; and tactical binoculars. Other products for the tactical market include Mark AR riflescopes, MX and MXc flashlights, and Mark 4 mounting systems. In addition, Leupold has introduced the new DeltaPoint reflex sight for use on handguns, rifles and shotguns.
