Deer Hunting In The Adirondacks New Edition Now Available
FORT ANN, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Author and outdoor journalist Dan Ladd of West Fort Ann in the southeastern Adirondacks has released an updated version of his book, Deer Hunting in the Adirondacks – A Guide to Deer Hunting in New York?s 6-Million-Acre Adirondack Park.
Ladd first released the self-published guidebook in early 2008 and for the book?s second printing decided that some updates were in order.
“The biggest thing was a few additions to the Adirondack Forest Preserve and the inventory of state lands is the meat and potatoes of this book,” says Ladd. “I knew going into this project that I would have to update it in future printings, but I didn?t think it would happen so soon.”
Key additions include tracts of land along the Moose River near Old Forge and the Chazy Highlands Wild Forest in the extreme northern section of the Adirondack Park. Additional material has been added on the subjects of getting deer out of the backcountry, cooking venison and also some information geared towards beginning hunters.
Additional photos are also included and the book has expanded from 168 pages to 192.
The new edition of Deer Hunting in the Adirondacks has a retail price of $20 and will soon be available at many local and retail outlets throughout the Adirondack region and beyond. More information is available at Ladd?s Web site, www.ADKHunter.com, where a mail order form can be downloaded. The book will also be distributed by North Country Books.
