SHACKLESFORD, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- International Training, Inc. (ITI), the leader in security training, announced today the line-up of their first official shooting team which will compete in USPSA, IDPA, 3 – Gun and Law Enforcement matches throughout the country.

Composed of six members with varying skill levels and disciplines, Team ITI will serve as ambassadors to the shooting sports industry and will show how skills learned from their many courses in Virginia and Texas can benefit a competitive shooter. Team ITI will prove that the same superior instruction and high-quality training that the military and law enforcement markets have come to expect from ITI instructors, is also applicable to competition shooters.

“As Team Captain for the International Training, Inc. Shooting Team, I’m proud to call these five other fine shooters my teammates,” commented Rob Middaugh, Operations Manager, ITI Virginia and Team ITI Captain.

“Each one of us brings a different skill level and field of expertise to the team and we are eager to compete and win at the highest levels this year in IDPA, USPSA and 3-Gun matches.”

Rob Middaugh, Team Captain
Rob Middaugh began his competitive shooting career in IDPA over two years ago. He holds an Expert Class level along with several top three finishes in his class. Currently the Operations Manager for the ITI Virginia Campus, Middaugh has been a Firearms Instructor with ITI for 12 years. He has over 20 years of Military and Law Enforcement experience.

Morgan Allen
It’s hard to believe that Morgan Allen has only been shooting pistols since 2005, considering he has 21 IDPA State and Regional Division Championship titles under his belt since 2007. Having moved up the ladder from an IDPA Novice to Master in only 14 months, Allen has also won three top five Division finishes at the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals. Allen is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, as well as an IDPA Safety Officer and PPC Master.

Gary Byerly
Gary Byerly has been competing in IDPA matches for the past eight years and USPSA and 3-Gun matches for five years. He is an IDPA ESP and SSP Master, as well as a six-time IDPA State Champion. Byerly is a Master in Production and holds an “A” Classification in Open and Limited in USPSA. Byerly is also a three time Area class winner.

Brian Cutler
Brian Cutler is ranked as a Master by the IDPA and actively competes in IDPA, 3-Gun, and Law Enforcement matches. Since he started shooting competitively, Cutler has been a top-5 finisher in his division and classification in over 20 matches. Most recently, Cutler won 1st-place at the 2010 Law Enforcement United Tactical Shootout, as well as 1st-place at the 2009 Police Unity Tour Tactical Shootout. Cutler serves part-time as an instructor at ITI’s Virginia campus. As both a police officer and a competitive shooter, Cutler knows first-hand the advancements in techniques and fundamentals that competitive shooting brings to the tactical training world.

Robbie McGinnis
Robbie McGinnis spent 23 years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he conducted maritime operations in the Caribbean and Persian Gulf. He has been employed with ITI as a Staff Instructor for the past five years. McGinnis currently serves as a Firearms Instructor, as well as the Driving Team Leader, and specializes in hard surface, off-road, unimproved road and armored vehicle operations. 2010 is McGinnis’ first year of competitive shooting, where he is on his way to being classified in USPSA matches. McGinnis’ specialty thus far has been in 3-Gun matches.
