Charlotte, NC –( As was the case two years ago in the 2008 elections, in this year’s contests, two things will deliver victory for us — shoe leather and votes.

To ensure that our members and supporters are registered to vote, are active in the campaigns of pro-gun candidates, and prepared to vote in droves before or on Election Day, NRA-ILA’s Grassroots Division has hired Campaign Field Representatives (CFRs) that have been dispatched to key states across the country.

Our CFRs will be living in their respectively assigned districts, working daily with NRA members and supporters of the Second Amendment to make sure their communities are fully engaged in this year’s critically-important elections. From registering pro-gun voters, to walking neighborhoods, to making phone calls, to distributing literature, stickers, and signs, to writing letters to the editor in support of our candidates, to visiting gun shows, shops, clubs, and ranges, to finally, turning out the pro-gun vote on Election Day, our CFRs will be working day and night in support of our Right to Keep and Bear Arms!

As has become the trendy thing for anti-gun candidates to do, we will no doubt see stanch opponents of our gun rights try to hoodwink voters into believing they are champions of the Second Amendment. We will not let this deceitful campaign succeed and will shine a bright light on candidates running for office, making sure voters know where those seeking the public trust TRULY STAND on our freedom!

It is said every election year and every election year it is true. This November’s elections are the most important in our lives! Why? Because this year’s elections will influence the future debate over our gun rights for years. With just over three months to go, EVERY supporter of the Second Amendment must FULLY participate in the process.

To find out if there is a CFR in your area, please click here, or contact the NRA-ILA Grassroots Division at (800) 392-VOTE (8683). If there isn’t a CFR in your district, NRA-ILA’s Election Volunteer Coordinators (EVCs) stand ready to answer the call to action and work with you. EVCs are local NRA members who will be spearheading our grassroots campaign activities from coast-to-coast. EVC contact information can be found here:, or by calling the NRA-ILA Grassroots Division at (800) 392-VOTE (8683). If your district currently has an EVC vacancy, and you wish to serve in this critical leadership capacity, please call ILA Grassroots and ask to speak to your state Grassroots Coordinator.

If campaign 2010 has yet to begin for you, it must commence NOW. If preserving our Second Amendment rights for ourselves and future generations aren’t worth a few hours or a couple of days of your time, what is?
