Protect Arizona’s Hunting & Fishing Heritage – Vote Yes on Prop 109
Catalina, AZ –-(Ammoland.com)- Today is Election Day, and, all across the nation, people will be going to the polls to exercise their right to vote.
Make sure that you, your family and your friends are among them! Perhaps even more importantly, be sure that you are well informed on the issues that affect your rights, and where the candidates stand on those issues.
To assist you, AzCDL has assembled the voting records of sitting legislators on critical legislation affecting our rights from the past several legislative sessions, available at our web site:
Our political action committee, AzCDL PAC, has prepared endorsements and ratings of the various candidates for legislative and statewide offices, available here:
We generally do not take positions on ballot issues, as most of them do not pertain to our mission. However, Proposition 109 is a proposed constitutional amendment that, when approved by the voters in November, will add hunting, fishing and the harvesting of wildlife as rights guaranteed under the Arizona Constitution.
We urge you to vote FOR the passage of Proposition 109 when you vote on November 2, 2010.
Recognizing your RIGHT to hunt and fish protects Arizona’s hunting and fishing heritage, and critical wildlife management practices, against the emotion-based bans that have been successfully imposed in other states.
Unfortunately, this seemingly non-controversial idea of protecting YOUR right to hunt and fish in here in Arizona has sparked a heavily funded campaign against Proposition 109 by primarily East Coast based, anti-rights groups wearing the mantle of “animal rights.” Their pockets are very deep. They see Arizona as their next beach head in their war against humanity. If they are successful in defeating Proposition 109, we can expect future voter initiatives and legislation calling for the outlawing of hunting and fishing. Don’t let them win!
The Arizona Game and Fish Commissioners, who helped draft Proposition 109, have established a website to counter the myths and outright lies by groups opposing Proposition 109. We urge you to visit their website:
AzCDL is a proud to be one of the many supporters of the “Commissioners Yes on 109” campaign.
Once again, please be sure to get out and vote today. This is a critical election when it comes to our rights. Remember, your vote is your voice. Use it!

AzCDL – Protecting Your Freedom
AzCDL believes that the emphasis of gun laws should be on criminal misuse and that law-abiding citizens should be able to own and carry firearms unaffected by unnecessary laws or regulations. AzCDL was founded by a group of local activists who recognized that a sustained, coordinated, statewide effort was critical to protecting and expanding the rights of law-abiding gun owners. As a like-minded coalition of activists, the AzCDL founders were instrumental in the successful passage of the first major improvement to Arizona’s CCW (concealed carry) laws since they were instituted in 1994.
