‘Pig Man’ Appeal Goes Mainstream Again in 2010
Groesbeck, TX –-(Ammoland.com)- Coming off an extremely successful debut season for Brian “Pig Man” Quaca, his appeal both within industry and outside of the hunting industry continues to explode now crossing over into the highly respected Smithsonian Magazine.
In a feature article of the January 2011 issue entitled “A Plague of Pigs”, author John Morthland covers the devastation and destruction that non- indigenous pigs are causing all across the country.
Highly underestimated for their ecological and economical impact, Morthland focuses on the rapid outbreak of up to 6 million hogs in 39 different states along with the man who is bringing a fresh face to the hunting industry with a name that bares the species he is notorious for: the Pig Man.
With over 6.8 million subscribers, the Smithsonian feature article isn’t the first time that Pig Man has crossed over into an out-of-industry publication. Back in July of 2010, Quaca was featured in a USA Today column giving readers an introductory insight as to what drives this Texan’s passion for hunting hogs.
As his notoriety and fan base continues to climb, Pig Man shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Nominated as a finalist in 3 categories of the Sportsman Channel’s Sportsman Choice Awards in only his first season along with his most recent appearance in the Smithsonian Magazine just weeks before the airing of Season 2, 2011 looks to reveal anything but a sophomore slump.
