Southport, CT –-(Ammoland.com)- Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR), is pleased to announce that Kim Pritula, Director of Export/ATF Compliance & Security, has been appointed to the President’s Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration (PECSEA).

Pritula’s export control knowledge and expertise will help PECSEA develop ways to reform and maintain an efficient and effective export control system in an ever-changing global marketplace.

“Kim has a very unique talent and passion for export regulation and plays a critical role in the Sturm, Ruger organization,” said Ruger President and CEO Mike Fifer.

“We are excited for Kim to share her expertise on a national level as a part of PECSEA and want to congratulate her on this well-deserved appointment,” he concluded.

“As the chair of the NSSF’s Export Committee, Kim’s appointment to the President’s Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration will allow our industry to have an even greater voice in the administration’s export control reform effort, particularly as we are likely to see many of our industry’s products move from being controlled by the State Department to the Commerce Department,” said Lawrence G. Keane, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

The PECSEA advises the U.S. Government on matters related to the Export Administration Act and the Export Administration Regulations, with an emphasis on ways to protect national security while minimizing potential adverse impacts on U.S. industry. The PECSEA plays a critical role in advising the Commerce Department and the Obama administration on key export control issues as they develop new regulations and policies.
