Colorado Hosts Smith & Wesson Rocky Mountain Regional Revolver Championship
LOS OSOS, Calif. –-(Ammoland.com)- Wheelgunners from throughout the Rocky Mountain region will be headed to Galeton, Colo. this weekend for the Smith & Wesson Rocky Mountain Regional Revolver Championship.
The Smith & Wesson Rocky Mountain Regional Revolver Championship is being held June 25-26 at the Weld County Fish & Wildlife High Plains Shooting Range.
The eight stage match is hosted by the Rocky Mountain Revolver Club and slots are still available for walk-up entries.
This is the second of seven events in the 2011 International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE) Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson.
“The revolver season is in full swing with shooters from around the country hitting ranges and testing their skills in competition. I can think of no better test of a shooter’s skill than entering one of the matches in the ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE.
As part of their sponsorship, Smith & Wesson is donating firearms which will be given away by random drawing to series competitors at the end of the ICORE regional season. For each regional event an ICORE shooter competes in he or she will be entered into the drawing. Shooters that enter three matches, for instance, will be entered into the drawing three times.
The dates for the future regionals are:
- – Central States Regional Revolver Championship on July 17 in Buchanan, Mich.
- – East Coast Regional Revolver Championship September 25 in New Tripoli, Penn.
- – Southern Regional Revolver Championship on October 7-9, Byram, Miss.
- – Australia Regional Revolver Championship on October 14-16 in Brisbane, Australia
- – New England Regional Revolver Championship on October 23 in Guilderland, NY
