LOS OSOS, Calif. –-(Ammoland.com)- Jerry Miculek, the Team Smith & Wesson shooter from Princeton, La. continued his unbeaten streak at the Smith & Wesson International Revolver Championship by winning his 19th title with a final time of 222.03 seconds, just 4.76 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.

Miculek won half of the 14 stages and held the lead for most of the match, giving up front-runner status on the sixth stage to Rich Wolfe of Escalon, Calif., and then on the seventh to Smith & Wesson teammate David Olhasso of Holland, Pa. before reclaiming the lead on the eighth stage.

Despite a late charge by Wolfe, Miculek held his lead through the remainder of the match to take the title.

“Jerry Miculek has once again claimed the IRC as his match, and with 19 wins in 19 appearances who’s going to argue with him. No other shooter so thoroughly dominates a shooting discipline like Jerry does in revolver competition,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE.

Rounding out the top five were Wolfe in second with four stage wins and a time of 226.79, Olhasso in third with one stage win and 236.33 seconds, Gene Morin of Sutherlin, Ore. in fourth with 247.79 and Australian shooter Paul Kennedy of Mooroolbark, Victoria with 250.47.

Organized by the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE), and held at Hogue Action Pistol Range at the San Luis Obispo Sportsmen’s Association, the 20th Annual Smith & Wesson International Revolver Championship drew more than 230 top revolver shooters, representing 26 states and three foreign nations. Titles were awarded in the Open, Limited or Classic divisions with scoring based on time and accuracy where time penalties are accrued for misses and shots outside the x-ring.
