NSSF Announces May Winners in 50th Anniversary Facebook Photo Contest – June Contest Underway

NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- Ten individuals who posted photos of their spring hunts were voted prizewinners in the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s 50th Anniversary Photo Contest for May on Facebook.

The June contest is now underway with a new theme: “Post your favorite target shooting or hunting photo of you with family members or friends.” In recognition of Father’s Day, NSSF suggests posting a favorite photo of a father-son or father-daughter hunt or day at the range. Look for the Contests tab on NSSF’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/nssfcomm to read the full contest rules and enter a photo.

The top prizewinner for the month was Kevin Naze of Wisconsin, who posted the turkey hunting photo titled “Girls Night Out.” He wins a $50 gift card to Cabela’s plus a copy of NSSF’s 50th Anniversary history publication and 50th Anniversary commemorative coin.

Nine other winners will receive the NSSF history book and coin. They are Randall Foster of West Virginia, Thomas Jackson of West Virginia, Rob Newcomb of North Carolina, Laura Heider of Wisconsin, Gavin Harvey of Connecticut, Dan Gearhart of Wyoming, Sandy Rodrigue of Alabama, Larry Scott of Alabama and Carrie Zylka of Wisconsin.

Contest photos may be posted during the first three weeks of each month, with the last week devoted to voting for the winners. To post a photo, an individual must first “Like” the NSSF Facebook page, which currently has more than 6,000 fans.

Monthly themes associated with NSSF’s 50-year history are related to target shooting, youth participation, family and friends, hunting, wildlife conservation and activities involving AR-style modern sporting rifles and handguns.
