Reports Surfacing that the White House is Strong Arming Media Outlets that Cover Fast & Furious

Washington, DC –-(Ammoland.com)- It seems that multiple sources are reporting that White House staff are strong arming reporters and news outlets “behind the scenes” to keep reporting of Obama’s Fast & Furious Second Amendment Attack to a minimum and off the national stage.

The first sign was when CBS News investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson reported that White House spokesman White House spokesman Eric Schultz screamed and cursed at her during an interview on October 4th, 2011.

Attkisson explained the vicious tongue-lashing:

“In between the yelling that I received from the Justice Department yesterday, the spokeswoman — who would not put anything in writing — I was asking for her explanation so there would be clarity and no confusion later over what had been said. She wouldn’t put anything in writing,” she said.

“So we talked on the phone and she said things such as ‘the question Holder answered was different than the one he asked.’ But the way he phrased it, he said very explicitly, ‘I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.’” Read more:

Since then repeated requests to CBS News for interviews with her to follow up on this verbal attack have gone unanswered, CBS stating she would be “would be unavailable for interviews all week” .

Attikisson stated “[The White House and Justice Department] will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not reasonable. They say the Washington Post is reasonable, the LA Times is reasonable, the New York Times is reasonable, I’m the only one who thinks this is a story, and they think I’m unfair and biased by pursuing it.”

Is this why all these major media outlets have had little to none press coverage? Coverage of a scandal where 100’s of people have been killed, 1000’s of guns let loose in the wild to continue to commit crimes in the USA and Mexico.

Eric Schultz’s claim that news organization like LA Times and the Washington Post have been “reasonable” leads one to believe the White House has been in discussions with these news outlets on what they should and should not be reporting on.

Has CBS now fallen in line and is now keeping Sharyl Attkisson “unavailable” ? We have already seen how CBS had moved her reporting on Fast & furious to the CBS blog and away from their network broadcasts.

It has been said that the “cover up is worse that the crime” but in this case the breath and scope of murder, destruction and the insidious underlining purpose, [to undermine the Constitution & the Second Amendment] that this remains to be seen.
