“I could not hit the first flushed bird if I did not practice on our ATLAS traps, fine tuning old skills that get very rusty over long, hot, summers” declares Craig Alderman, Quail & Upland Wildlife Federation (QUWF).

“However, the real progress made by our sponsorship with ATLAS is the number of youth events QUWF chapters have put on using ATLAS traps which have exposed hundreds and hundreds of kids and adults to the pure joy of the shooting sports” states Craig . ”

We are anxious to tell all who will listen, not only of the quality and support they will receive with their own ATLAS traps, but the proud statement, they are made in America, by Americans with American raw materials”.

Without companies like ATLAS to support QUWF chapters in their quest to “turn-the-dirt” for upland wildlife, the habitat battle would be much harder and a lot less fun.

“We must keep the excitement of going afield strong by providing all ages and levels of shotgun owners the ability to practice on a variety of levels according to their skills, on our ATLAS traps” emphasizes Scott Manspeaker, President of ATLAS Traps. “Like any sport, practice makes the success better, hones basic and advanced shooting skills and makes every trip a field a lot more rewarding” states Scott. “Without the habitat and upland game, the passion and excitement of going afield would disappear. Our partnership with QUWF is one we both know is making a difference, right now, to not let that happen” concludes Manspeaker.

ATLAS traps are being featured at QUWF banquets and demonstrated at many field events hosted by QUWF chapters and QUWF staff nationwide.

“You cannot fit the smiles of our young folks on a digital camera when they bust their first clay target, never mind the parents and grandparents who then decide to join the fun” states Nick Prough, Chief Wildlife Biologist and an event guru in his own right. “They are not just traps, they are “Family Memory Makers”, and I recommend carrying a good camera when your youngsters squeeze the trigger, just remember, that smile is huge so get ready!” Prough says.

Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation, Inc., a tax exempt 501(c)(3) conservation organization, was formed to serve its members and chapters nationwide, providing a strong local source of habitat focus on quail and upland wildlife and population recovery. Millions of dollars of habitat work have been completed by its members over the years on thousands of acres of both private and public lands, now that work continues with a renewed vitality. Our chapters from coast to coast, provide the grass roots, local habitat work that is making a difference each and every day.
