AUSTIN, Texas –-( With a mission to protect every woman in America, Resist Attack teams up with Team Haas Judo and Central Texas Gun Works to host a free women’s self-defense class in Austin.

Due to recent events in the area, these organizations feel that this is an opportune time to remind women to pay extra attention to safety while potentially violent and harmful attackers are at large.

The free self-defense class includes a simple introduction to basic self-defense techniques with Sensei Chad Haas, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu’s 5th Dan Black Belt, and situational awareness techniques with Michael Cargill, owner of Central Texas Gun Works. Space is limited so advanced registration is required.

This program quickly launched and found widespread support from influential women bloggers and feminist groups alike. An all-women Advisory Board now helps the Resist Attack team with their mission. The first pepper spray giveaways started locally in Austin, Texas and are making a difference to women's safety. For more information about Resist Attack, visit

    1. Mr. Cargill

I am interested in bringing you about 6 at risk youths from a rough neighborhood from North/Central Austin. Working with the youth group I am hoping that you can maybe comp us a deal knowing that these young adults will build their character and feel better about themselves if you can do a self defense class for us. Just getting these kids out of their neighborhood for a while will help them. Please reply. Thank you
