Remington Appoints Robert L.Nardelli as Chief Executive Officer

Madison, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Remington Arms Company and its parent, Freedom Group, Inc. (FGI), are pleased to announce that the board of directors has appointed Robert L. Nardelli as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Nardelli was named director and a member of FGI’s Office of the CEO in September, 2010, following the resignation of the former CEO.

Mr. Nardelli joined Cerberus Capital Management in the spring of 2007, and, shortly thereafter, was named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chrysler Motors Company, LLC.

Mr. Nardelli will continue to serve as an advisor to Cerberus and CEO of its operations team, Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC. Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Nardelli was Chairman and CEO of the Home Depot, Inc.

Street.com: "AWFUL CEO". Left Home Depot and Chrysler in his turbid wake. Volume sales is his mantra. Sell it or dump it. I Look for Remington to morph to "tactical" stuff before phasing out the hunting firearms. Look at Freedom Groups other offerings. Handwriting's on the wall. Sad day for the employees. They know the end is near for some of them.

This will prove to be a disaster for Freedom Group. One only needs to look at this losers track record to see the s#@t about to hit the fan. He has obliterated the employment stats singlehandedly, so let the terminations begin. What a jerk…
