Shooting 300 AAC Blackout Suppressed ~ VIDEO

Manasquan, NJ –-(Ammoland.com)- Check out Hickok45 having some fun with suppressors and the 7.62X35 220 grain 300 AAC Blackout.

300 AAC Blackout ammunition was launched by Advanced Armament Corp. and Remington primarily for the military as a way to shoot 30 caliber bullets from the M4/AR15 platform while using standard magazines, but it is expected to see a lot of use for hunting, plinking, and home defense as well.

The concept of putting a 30-caliber bullet in a shortened 223 case has been done before, mostly as a wildcat cartridge, but not as an industry-wide standard that anyone can make products for, royalty-free.

The Advanced Armament suppressor on the rifle is the model 762-SDN-6, which is a “Quick Attach” type suppressor.

Hickok45 says “I appreciate Eric Morton from North Carolina Silencer for stopping by for the afternoon with a few interesting toys: www.ncsilencer.com

And a big thanks to Advanced Armament for sending some of that fairly expensive subsonic 220 grain ammunition! www.advanced-armament.com/

Also, PNW Arms sent us some 300 Blackout ammo, but it did not arrive in time for this series of videos with the suppressors. We will enjoy it in the future, however. 🙂 www.pnwarms.com”

I notice they have some 147 grain ammo on sale right now for $12.49 per box, so the ammo is becoming more available and less expensive. Remington UMC is out there now for about $12.99 per box, as well.

Hickok45 goes on to address the ignorance about Silencer use: “If you are new to guns and have concerns about suppressors being legal, think about it a bit. Is the only reason many of us are not shooting people the fact that we can’t do it quietly? That would have to be the assumption, right?”

This is an important lesson that needs to be repeated more, why would we be required to keep a muffler on a car but be prevented, by excessive taxation and ignorant state laws, from owning and using a basic piece of hearing protection.
