Mule Deer Foundation Looking For A Few Good Volunteers

Mule Deer Foundation

SAN ANTONIO, Texas –-(  Are you an avid hunter or someone who loves wildlife and the outdoors?

Join others like yourself and find out how you can help mule deer in Texas and across the West.

The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF), a twenty-five year old grassroots conservation organization, is starting a local chapter in the Bexar County area. An organizational meeting will be held Wed., May 30, 2012, at the Longhorn Café, 17625 Blanco Rd., San Antonio, Texas. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. (those wishing to eat should arrive by 6:00 p.m.). All interested individuals are encouraged to attend and bring along a friend!

The Mule Deer Foundation is non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of mule deer, black-tailed deer and their habitat. Unlike other big game animals, mule deer have not adapted well to changes in their environment. As urban areas continue to sprawl, and more people build homes in rural settings, mule deer and their habitat suffer. Throw in a few major interstate highways and an occasional Texas drought, and it is a recipe for disaster. But we can help change the future for mule deer.

Nearly 115 local MDF chapters are located throughout the central and western United States. Chapter members help raise money for conservation, initiate programs that benefit wildlife and offer educational and outdoor opportunities to all.

Your support helps fund:

  • Habitat Enhancement Projects
  • Land and Easements Acquisitions
  • Scientific Research
  • Support of Responsible Wildlife Management
  • Conservation Education
  • Support for our Hunting Heritage
  • Youth Programs and More!

I attended a meeting in early Sept at Clearsprings cafe. I want to help your event on Oct 11 at Leon Springs. I gave my cards to several members but no one has contacted since the first meeting I attended. Your time is running short. Phone 219-684-9376
