Madison, NC –-(Ammoland.com)- Remington Arms Company, LLC, (“Remington”) is proud to congratulate Wendell Cherry and Ashleigh Hafley for their wins at the Gamaliel Cup sporting clays championships.
The event, held at the Nashville Gun Club on April 19-22, 2012, drew more than 400 entrants and awarded more than $25,000 in cash and trophies to winners.
Cherry competed against 366 shooters and won the 2012 Gamaliel Cup with a score of 197. Hafley out-shot 31 competitors to win Gamaliel Cup Lady’s Championship with a score of 177.
Cherry and Hafley both competed with Remington Premier Nitro target loads.
“The wins just keep coming from Team Remington in 2012,” said John Bauer, Shooting Sports Manager. “A big tip of the hat to Wendell and Ashleigh on their wins at the Gamaliel Cup – they continue to be as reliable and consistent as the Remington Nitro shotshells they use to dominate their sport.”
The Gamaliel Cup is a National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Mega Blast shoot; an event held the previous year and had 300 or more NSCA members competing at that time. The 2012 Gamaliel Cup had a total of 443 entrants.
