Ferguson receives an award for drawing the largest crowds at the Brazil Sports Show.
Kingsport, TN –-(Ammoland.com)- Internationally acclaimed exhibition archer Byron Ferguson has done it again!
Byron Ferguson has just recently returned from performing at the 2012 Brazil Sports Show in Sao Paulo. That show drew a record crowd of an estimated 70-80 thousand people.
The Brazil Sports Show is produced by TSMA, a Taiwan based company that uses the show to promote the Asian economy and their products. The show promoters presented Byron the award for drawing the largest crowds of any exhibitor at this year’s show.
Byron ‘s host for the event was Raul Duwe of RD Arqueria (archery). Duwe wanted to showcase Byron’s talents to show the people and the Brazilian government how much fun the sport of archery is, and that it is a good family sport. Hunting, and especially bowhunting is not legal in Brazil.
From Sao Paulo Ferguson traveled to Curitiba and Campo Largo where he was featured on five television shows and another exhibition performance in Curitiba.
Byron Ferguson says that “all of shows in Brazil drew a large number of people. They all had a genuine interest in archery, and hopefully my performance there has helped generate a renewed interest in the sport of archery. The Brazilians are fun loving and very hospitable people.”
