This innovative new controller features its own heartbeat sensor that integrates the player’s own heart rate into the game, bridging the gap between controller and authentic hunting experience to make hunting gameplay more realistic than ever.
The Top Shot Fearmaster utilizes a biometric heart rate monitor to propel players into the world of hunting. Sensors are built into the controllers’ grips and gameplay varies based on the player’s ability to control their fear and maintain their cool. Players that successfully control their heart rate will increase their accuracy, deal more damage, or slow down time to line up the perfect shot. The importance of a stable, even breathing pattern and a steady hand is vital to the best shot while out in the real life wilderness, and that is no different in Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013. With the all new Fearmaster controller and on screen monitor, players will recognize how keeping their breath steady will decrease their heart rate while also increasing gun stability and ultimately accuracy. The Top Shot Fearmaster for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system will have heart rate and motion stability sensors. The Top Shot Fearmaster for Nintendo’s Wii™ system will only measure motion stability and will not include the heart rate sensor.
Powered by the all-new Prowler AI system, predators in Dangerous Hunts 2013 are now smarter, and deadlier than ever before. Animals now have the ability to form pack social hierarchies, coordinate complex group tactics and take advantage of the surroundings to set up deadly ambushes. No two scenarios are alike and what worked before will not work so well the next time around.
Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 features an epic story penned by writer Andrew Kreisberg (Fringe) where two brothers are torn apart after the death of their father at the hands of a grizzly bear. Ten years later, the estranged brothers reunite for the hunt of their lives. One beast tore them apart. Can another beast bring them back together? The game also includes a new horde-based “Maneater” mode allowing for two-player co-operative gameplay where teamwork is essential as both players must work together to strategize and complete missions in order to survive for as long as possible. The game will feature both symmetric and asymmetric missions in Maneater mode.
Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 will be available with the Top Shot Fearmaster on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation ®3 on Oct. 23 for $79.99. The game will also be available with the Top Shot Fearmaster controller for the Wii for $59.99 (the Wii Top Shot Fearmaster does not include heart rate sensors).
