Kathy is the wife of CrossBreed Webmaster, Jonathan Owen.
She will be riding the Copper Triangle again this year sporting a great CrossBreed Holsters jersey.
CrossBreed will also have some of its own riders in the upcoming local Svitak Freedom Ride.
The Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle course is a spectacular 78-mile loop cresting three Colorado Mountain passes – Fremont Pass (elevation 11,318’), Tennessee Pass (elevation 10,424’) and Vail Pass (elevation 10,666’).
The course passes three ski areas and is littered with historic mining outposts and camp Hale, the training ground for the famous 10th Mountain Division.
The total elevation gain for the course is 5,981 ft.
Kathy Owen is a wife and mother who started cycling three years ago as a therapeutic response to the loss of her father to cancer. Now a triathlete from the flat lands of Texas, this is Kathy's second year on the Copper Triangle.
“I'm honored to wear the Crossbreed Holsters Jersey,” she says. “Crossbreed and its ownership share the same winning values and competitive spirit that makes the Copper Triangle experience so incredible.”
