NEWTOWN, Conn –-(Ammoland.com)- FMG Publications' Shooting Industry Masters was a record-breaking success when it was held at the Rockcastle Shooting Center at the Park Mammoth Resort in Park City, Ky., on July 20 and 21.
Top firearms industry executives and professional competitors made up the more than 320 shooters who helped raise $54,000 for shooting programs.
This 10th Annual Masters raised a record $47,000 for NSSF's First Shots, including funds raised through auctions at GunBroker.com. That brought the amount raised by the masters for First Shots to $141,000 in four years.
Additionally, $7,000 was raised for USA Shooting. More than 10 percent of attendees at the masters participated in the First Shots seminar held there.
Said Tisma Juett, NSSF's manager, First Shots, “This is a great event for bringing First Shots to employees who have responsible jobs in the industry but lack actual shooting experience.”
