Ronkonkoma, NY –-(Ammoland.com)- Long Island Firearms in conjunction with the Long Island Second Amendment Preservation Association, is holding our 3rd Annual ‘Keep Long Island Warm’ Coat Drive.

We are again coming together to aid the coat drive that is being done by Long Island Cares and the Harry Chapin Food Bank, in partnership with the Burlington Coat Factory.

Also aiding in this effort is a company called ‘One Warm Coat’. A national company who offers help in organizing and promoting coat drives throughout the country.

With our members generous help last year, we were able to collect over 900 coats, that were cleaned and distributed to families in need throughout Long Island at no charge.

With the help from the community and our members we are hoping to have an even more successful drive than we had last year, and be able to provide many grateful Long Island men, women and children with some warm clothing they may not otherwise be able to obtain.

Especially this year with the damage created by Hurricane Sandy, more Long Island families than ever are turning to organizations like Long Island Cares and the Harry Chapin Food Bank for help.

What better way to help a fellow Long Islander this winter than to provide them with warmth. Our goal is to help provide any person in need with a warm coat free of charge.
