Firearms Hypocrite Bob Costas & NFL Surrounded By Armed Security

Washington DC – -( Bob Costas’ gun control rant was bad but made worse by one key point — he lives much of his life with the benefit of armed security. (i.e., men with guns).

If you’ve ever been to an NFL game this point is academic. The number of armed policemen you pass between the gate your seat is incredible. And if you get behind the scenes, in certain corridors, the armed presence can be just as strong (or stronger).

Those policeman and security personnel are there to preserve order and to protect their assets, be they football players, football coaches, or the celebrities and news anchors in attendance.

In this, Costas is much like other elitists who’ve recklessly criticized guns in past, all the while living behind a wall of guns for the benefits it brings.

Remember when Rosie O’Donnell spent what seemed like years on her gun rants? Those rants lost their effectiveness when the focus turned to her security detail. The same with Michael Moore, and the same with the plethora of politicians, like Sens Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and John Kerry (D-MA) or NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

They all rage against guns in the name of safety, while seeming quite happy in the safety that comes from living life behind layer after layer of armed protection.

The bottom line: It seems to me that when Costas went on his rant against guns he showed himself to be a hypocrite of the highest order. And in so doing, he joined ranks with O’Donnell, Moore, Bloomberg and numerous other elitists who live by the standard of “do as I say, not as I do.”

We hear it all the time. There are always going to be people who think guns are the problem. But I always think about the saying "if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns". I'm glad we at least live in a country where we have the ability to vote and have a say it what we are allowed to do.

It's the same old anti-gun crap: blame the guns instead of the scumbag that choses to kill an innocent instead of just taking his own sorry ass life. Costas doesn't want anyone to question why this loser's teammates and coaches never saw any inkling of this coming, so he threw guns out there to change the focus, but I doubt that the abusive creep that murdered the mother of his child didn't offer plenty of warning signs and statements about his HUGE insecurity problems and misogynist bent long before this happened. Behavior this aberrant doesn't just suddenly materialize out of… Read more »
