Hunter Education Classes Planned for Missoula Montana

MALTA, Mont. –-(Ammoland.com)- Missoula will hold one Hunter Education class in January and another in February 2013.

Schedules and online registration are available now at fwp.mt.gov. Follow links to the class schedule under โ€œEducation.โ€

The first class will be held Jan 7-10 from 6:30-9p.m. each evening with a field course and test on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9a.m.-4p.m. Or, students can elect to take a class Feb. 18-21 with a field course and test on Saturday, Feb. 23 2013. Both of these classes will meet at the Fish, Wildlife & Parks office in Missoula (3201 Spurgin Road).

January and February classes are limited to 20 students each. Additional classes, with unlimited enrollment, will be held in Missoula in April, with a full schedule to be announced in January.

Classes are free, and a student must be at least 11 years old to be certified. Any person born after January 1, 1985 must present a Hunter Education Certificate in order to purchase a hunting license in Montana.
